Cloggie many years ago told me..."10k hours of screen time and your just beginning" .... watching the candles is almost second nature...its not about taking trades any more...its about not taking the wrong trades.....

it did not take me that long. different systems take different length of time, different methodologies take different length of time. It all depends on the methodology you use

Sorry that was a cheap shot, I was referring to the 99% of traders...

Hey I trade FX based on technicals as well, however imho for me at least, the most important thing is to have a strong bias based on fundamental outlook.

Trade what makes u pips....But in my experience...lessen the noise....i.e. news bull.... the chart is super easy at the monthly level...draw some lines look left ...circle some groups of supply and demand support and resistance (or as I look at it ...Floors and ceilings) stat on the monthly first....then zoom in to the 4hr....tada

In my view of this game... less less less leads to more more more

You forget that the game changed dramatically during the last 3 years, not 6to speak of ADR and volatility.

If I had known three years ago what I do know today I would be a millionaire already and not post here.
Which brings me to the point that I severly doubt that we have real big shots here trading the big money.

FX is range bound in the large picture. any major currency pair cannot go to zero, cannot go to infinitely high either.

A penny stock can go to zero, SPX can be pumped very high, but EUR/USD cannot go to zero, cannot go to 2 in the near future either.

If you have a large money, you have a deep pocket. If you cannot make money with deep pocket, then do not trade. Just eat on your large money before you die, if you cannot make money with a deep pocket

yep....dodd frank squashed a ton of accounts....plus leverage changes...all a factor....plus....Qe....noone knew how pairs would just stay unidirectional with very very minimal corrections etc,
