Use Task Manager to check the resources being used, Metatrader 610 is just an interim release thats been chucked together to keep things ticking over until they have driven everyone onto version 5 which is where they are heading.

Been stuck @ 296.243 for ages and its the only basket open.

Hi guhhmac,

How do you know they are heading for version 5 and articles on is this inside information? Just want to know.

Guess sooner than later this EA will go awol again when Version 5 is introduced from what you say.

Not easy to trade since the news impact yesterday. Lost around 580 pips today in 5 baskets.

The Buy10 comes to south, have been in long
the sell10 goes up, I passed this
c14 moved like crazy yesterday evening and I went out tonight with a lucky -250 pips
sold the buy10 a couple hours ago, lost a little more for a tight stoploss. Could reenter but will pass for now.

All in all, no matter where to look, its all sideways or don't do what expected.

The good thing in the basket trading is, its relative calm, even in news time. No real crazy moved like in single pairs.

For now, I let the robot look for trades in buy10 and sell10 baskets, everything else is set to manual, cause with Oanda I'm not allowed to hedge.

Just for them who wants to know, my Buy and Sell10 Baskets are made with just D1, W1 and Monthly enabled in BT_CS_v9. Until now, the pairs did not change the last 12 hours. Trading that in hourly chart, C14 too, jpy7, eur7 and jpyusd8 in 15 min.

I look forward to the coming week.

Thanks to seller9 and all contributors. I really like this system. My problem is just... I'm impatient and want to be in the market all the time. No trading is not part of my trading style. Sadly.

Oh, just to mention, my wife asked me to take out little profits too. Hm. I did and went home with one winner today. Has been a C14 jump in and out for 50 pips. Not worth to talk more about that. But she has been happy. She do not understand, that this little winners can never compare the losers, what never go to profits.
I'll force her to try in a demo account and educate her a little, she will see.

Because they released Version 5 a few years back as a replacement for Version 4 and it didn't take off. No one upgraded (or hardly anyone) so now it appears that they will achieve the same objective step by step. I don't believe that there is anything secret about Metraders ultimate destination which is to monitise and control their huge locked in user base every which way they can, a bit like Apple do with their app store.

I hear rumors of release 615, tho i haven't seen it yet

And for the record...this is just my opinion

Your system appears to be coping well and not the problem. I had the same issue with an earlier release so thought it might be just be that. Kudo's' to seller for keeping the updates going with all the programming changes in the background.

I have noticed some reports about not minimizing any of your charts to make it more reliable but hey ..who knows...sorry cant be more helpful

Stop the robot and start it again. If this does not help, save your current settings of the robot and remove it, then place it again on the chart and load saved settings.

so far whatever the settings seem to be, it doesn't really matter. the JPY basket and C14 have been ranging all week. i've lost quite a bit. i just realized i should be using the BT_CS for making baskets when the markets are like this..

not trading the C14 pairs either after a few loss trades as alot of the pairs were ranging. I traded my own pairs this week GBPUSD, EURUSD AUDUSD pairs, GBPUSD, EURUSD AUDUSD and EURJPY pairs. Although EURJPY did not follow trend yesterday but the others brought enough profit to cover for the loss. Today has been better with the results

here are some trades from yesterday and today some manual others done by EA. Settings on chart. Manual trades based mainly on US sentiment news yesterday. The chart with $199 managed to catch just the beginning of the bearish move call it luck or what but it was nice.

yeah with all the ranging on the JPY, C5 and C14, i've lost my butt pretty good. so instead of using those, i'll be using the basket creator to make my pairs. however i'm just trying to figure out when i should utilize the basket.. i was thinking of letting the EA run all day, then extracting the basket before the euro session. Afterward, setup the BT ea to trade it.

btw, after the trading session is done, the market usually cools down all day until around the shanghai open then starts to move again. So i will be closing all trades after the euro/us sessions and waiting until euro opens again to reactivate the EA with a new C basket. i'm using 8 pairs in my correlations

yeah that sounds like a good idea. I have had a look at closed trades and most of the trades taken during the Asian sessions usually end up with losses, may be this can be added to the EA (time filter for EUR, US and Asian sessions) so that you have the option of being able to trade different sessions as we do get some huge moves during the Asian sessions especially with AUD and JPY releases and it will be good to be able to take advantage of them when they happen??

yes, it would save a lot of work but if not, it's ok cause i like to be here to monitor things if something goes wrong. what i plan on doing is just letting the correlations come together and extract the basket around the open of the euro or an hour before. I get most of my winners in the EUR/US session. i don't trade the asian sessions, there's not much volatility and i end up losing most of the time.

btw, i changed BT_CS to 1.0 with 8 pairs and disabled W,M,D and left 4h,1h,etc.. since i'm trading only the 15 i don't think i need the bigger picture
