Maybe it will get back to normal, but now it's really distorted. not only that but it just sits there for 3 days and then it moves for 5 minutes. wtf is this? I just lost patience to wait for better days.. there are solutions, markets everywhere you turn.. a chart is a chart, it doesn't matter.

That is another thing I don't do anymore, that is hold trades over night, If I'm trading London those trades get closed before NY and if I'm trading NY generally speaking no trades are taken after 12 pm and are closed before the end of the day.

well yes, but as I don't trade London, I had to do it while holding my nose.

The last couple of years I learned slowly and painfully how not to trade and over the last 8 months I've learned how to make money! (slowly but surely)

If there is one thing I wished I would have learned before anything that one thing would have been MONEY MANAGEMENT SKILLS!!!!

I would have made it threw the learning curve in so much better shape!!

Started in Summer 2012 (amidst Spain/Greece/etc bank situations) and I definitely did the same things. It was also way easier to risk a greater portion of your profile knowing that there were huge trends coming.

I'm new to trading so my knowledge doesn't exactly come from experience. However i'm an elliotician and i really believe in it. To me the growth and decay of natural systems, of which mass human participation is part, which Elliott waves model makes perfect sense. The fib ratios which are one element it employs are so predominant in nature i cannot dismiss it. That's why i don't dismiss the planetary cycles thread i've seen on this site, even though i don't believe in that stuff anywhere near enough to inform my trading. The world (and universe in their case) has some natural order to it, anything could be true.

My point is that the EW model is cyclical. At the largest degree, the grand supercycle, a lot of the history of the modern stock market (at least since the 1930s) forms only part of one impulse wave. So one complete cycle at grand sypercycle degree is nowhere near complete in 2014. EUR/USD is currently nearing completing a triangle formation starting back in something like 2008 on larger time frames (i just use basic charting provided by my broker so don't have access to data this far back, i saw a chart posted by another member) so from this perspective it's probably a crap couple of years as price becomes more and more compressed as the triangle progresses. Once this is complete, there will be another bull trend followed by a bear trend retracing back to somewhere close to where we are now.

But i'm a newb and have no experience of what it was to trade 5 years ago.

"Ctrl +" to enlarge. hold down the "ctrl" and "+" two keys at the same time.

(My platform) daily close has payed homage to the weekly support fib level to the pip. The weekly pullback is still acting like a bull trend with a touch on the monthly support TL at the 1.3800 region. If the bears want to take control imo they will need a daily/weekly close below this level but it could be a good place to reenter longs with good R/R.

its trying, i am debating with self. if 3811 holds it should go to 57... the opposite if it dont hold at 3788
