everything sgonna be alright. majority of deaths were already cleared. us wont let anything violent to happen, so goes for russia. russia wont let crimea go, usa is aware of that, but wont blink. eur union can only knell down and obey both sides.
this region sgonna be forgotten in few months but will erupt in few years again, with new state, new government final. pro russian of course.
and ukraina sgonna be still inbetween their own faith

With US Drone intercepted over Crimea I would not be LONG the EUR in any longer term positions over the weekend - be safe and stay flat til market reopens after the weekend.

In fact, there is no real army in the EU. And the USA has good army but will not invade Russia. So, the only thing we might see are some kind of "sanctions". The true is it would harm the EU as much (maybe more) as it would Russia (Germany has 30% of its gas consumption coming form Russia. Look at Ukraine itself - how dependent it is on the Russian gas and crude oil. Countries such as Latvia, Belarus, Lithuania - their dependance on Russia is crucial.) And also, the history (Cuba) shows it's the "normal" people who suffer the most.

hlas - Yes indeed, factions funded by Soros group and western intelligence fronts did hire the snipers who were shooting police and others to try and get a proxy war in play. The entire action is all about destabilizing Russian interests in the region. Russian and the US/EU factions are all dirty in different regards, but we all don't need a WWIII event out of a "staged" proxy war instigation!

And had a quite board discussion with someone explaining my point of view weeks ago. At the end of the day you can not say publicly - ' Yes we will attack Ukraine if we won't get Crimea annexed' so what you would do? Just say no we won't attack, or 'president Putin its not ready to make decysion'. If referendum fails (very little probability), you just occupy heavily Crimea and to make sure Ukraine won't attack you you just put your troops on the border of Ukraine and Russia and demonstrate your power (military exercises) and if necessary atack. At the end of day Crimea has one of main Russian Naval bases and they can not afford to lose control over this area - if you just look on the map - its absolutely strategic point to control if situation in middle eas develop further (Syria, Iran especially) I could talk about it endlessly, but that's just my view and its good to know i'm not alone

Couple questions.

Putin Winning?
-wouldn't it be strategic to let Putin take part of Ukraine and have insiders there?

USA and EU helped revolution?
- you sure it wasn't because the Ukraine leader reneged on his EU agreement?

The true is it would harm the EU as much (maybe more) as it would Russia!
- Are you sure? which would hurt more, the group (europe) Missing energy which the free market can replace (african, brazil, US energy imports) or the group (Russia) missing the energy revenue? I think it would hurt Russia more.

Look at Ukraine itself - how dependent it is on the Russian gas and crude oil?

- What if the US made a deal with Russia (Remember Obama's 'after the election' hotmic?) like we did the Middle East (bases in exchange for oil revenue).

- I disagree, their dependence on 'energy' is crucial ... energy comes in many forms from many places.

I agree. Talking about sanctions?? What kind of sanctions are you talking about when you don't even have the money to bail out their own EU member countries. LOL Well EU & US were the one who started this whole fiasco, I am glad their tactics backfired and they are going to lose something of their own and there is nothing they can do about it. This time it's NOT Russia invading Crimea, it's Crimea who wants to get out of Ukraine and go back to Russia. Major face loss for the image-conscious West. But on the other hand, they gain back a super hot Ukrainian President. Yulia Tymoshenko is SMOKING hot!!! That should be a good consolation prize for the West. No wonder Cameron and Kerry were all trotting up and down for her!

Unfortunately, Yulia is just another puppet to rob the country of Ukraine.

Anyway, I think Ukraine is a sideshow, at least for now. It means zip IMO. Crimea is gone, it's Russia's, nowt can be done about it, and anyway, if that's how the people feel, then that's what self-determination is all about. The bigger issues are China's economy and Fed tapering I think.
