Hope not...but honestly, I don't know. Looks like there is bigger chance to make new low, but this can also mean that it is time to turn (to "kill" as many sellers they can)

Is the BoJ's strategy is to buy weak Usd now, after the Jpy was strong? Because that would mean a trip over ~103.761...

I remember reading a statement 2 years ago back when there were active interventions before I left for the equity markets that the BoJ had a target of 3 digits.

Anything at 100 and above is a safe level that would not spur intervention. Things may have changed since then with Abenomics but I believe the fundamental comfort zone should not.

In fact, the current weak JPY is damaging Japanese consumers and economy by producing cost-push inflation.

PS: I'm still a JPY bear.

Dn't forget the hike of sales-tax in april because they will value the effect on the consume. Many economist forecast another trance of stimulus on september.
I think to drive this thumble is only the fear about crimea, and at the first signs of reconciliation usdjpy will return up. I hope to see this signs

Alright posting this in here cos the EUR/USD thread is full of lunatics
My view of the EUR-USD-JPY triad is, that we have still yet to retest the highs made in EUR/JPY at the end of last year.
But I maintain that USD/JPY holds a long-term bearish tone. So how will EUR/JPY be able to go up?
Simple, EUR/USD will reach new highs not seen since 2011. We could end up seeing 1.43 in the pair.
Of course, I hope to cover my shorts before that happens. There's a chance for a short-term dip on the pair, given the price action stalling today.
