Wow.
So much for technical analysis.
So much for fundamentals.

To successfully trade this pair, ask yourself only, "Where do they want the thing to go?" And trade accordingly. (Or, more precisely, where do the Brits want to put Cable, and trade the inverse...)

So much for all those years at 4X trading school.

On the contrary, Brassboy. I actually feel I have made an enlightening discovery that essentially gives me the Keys to the Outer Gates of the Kingdom.

The Brits have more money than one can possibly imagine and can basically move the market anywhere they want, anytime they want. Key off of and trade against the Cable but trade in U/J, where the volatility won't take your head off and that's it.

I am taking drawdowns but I am hardly demoralised. I am rather excited, truth be told.

Addo: And I don't mean it will be a pip-for-pip inverse relationship. Instead, trade against the "attitude" of Cable. For instance, right now, the attitude of Cable wants to go higher and they will make it so. That means the "attitude" of U/J will be lower.

I would be appreciative if there were some explanation for this move. Do you have one? What's the reason behind this, when it should be more than obvious that on both a technical AND fundamental basis, the pair should be moving much higher?

I didn't think so. It makes no sense to even bother with techs and fundies any more. Makes all of our jobs that much easier, don't you think?

It's the realm of the financial media to devise explanations for these things after-the-fact. And analysts for before-the-fact.

what i am thinking is thar GJ will hit 101.0 today bz bear is very aggressive. i am not seeing any support........

If we hit the stops in EJ there could be a lot more available.

Probably, but in the doubt i prefer take my profit. I'm looking only at my balance which is the most important, knowing that i can not catch all the moves.

I think that when we graduate to standard lot sizes the trick is to take partial profits when in doubt but roll the dice for the remainder in play. There are no certainties in trading, whether for or against you.
