how to leave your orders on the platform without watching the PA developing in scale of seconds or minutes or hours by sitting in front of screen? you have to know resistance and support levels and leave orders open at these levels, and go doing other things or sleep.

euro always go both ways so you have plenty opportunities to scale in and out your position to add more or take profit when the market goes one way or the other while you are not by the side of your computer because you have open orders left on your platform already.

In the long term scalping just isnt my style. I am frustrated just as most of the others here are, but I think its easy to lose sight of the possibilities of potential moves in the next 18 months.

I trade full time, and I can trade any time of day. I used to wake up at 3am for London, but its been so dead lately that it doesnt even require me to wake up before 6 or 7am EST any more. I just set alerts, go to sleep and usually wake up without a single alarm going off. Thats how dead its been. I remember back in Fall 2011 during the Italian crisis when you HAD to wake up at 3am to catch the European bond market open and everything was moving.

Watching price action can become boring and frustrating over time if you arent completely in tune with the fundamental picture. I have basically made no money this year, totally flat for the most part. The trades that I know is coming down the pipe are likely to occur over a few short weeks and will involve a repricing in of Fed rate hikes. Then entire years profits will be made in those few weeks. Stay focused on what you are looking for.

That being said I think USDJPY (I have hedged out the USD) and SPX have some significant potential for downside this month off China slowness and Fed hike worries. Retail sales on thursday is a huge print.

Dont say the US session is crap, its the best intra day scalping session out their because it has the UK/US overlap which is the most volatile time of the day. Not only that the majority of liquid currencys are tied to USD

1.3875 is playing as resistance. I had long and short position by using that point.
