few days ago i read that more quantative easing will hurt yen this statement was from one of members of japan central bank and i read this at the forexfactory news page so even if usd jpy go long for sometime forget the longterm trades and cut your profits and get out quickly from the market forget 110

If you believe that Japanese QE will hurt the Yen, then Yen goes down and UJ goes up.
FOMC is gradually withdrawing QE, this should make US$ stronger and so UJ will go up.
....but nobody knows when!

If we knew when we would literally be rich. Because UJ utimatley is set up for the rocketship to the moon once everything comes together. One is easing and the other is winding down.

I take a simple trade: short because of ascending channel. If correct and the abc of trading will be be right (for once at least), target should be 99.00. Will that simple lesson for newbie give really 400 pips?
Little luck is forex water. Learn all Trading strategies, then forget them.

Did not say it had nothing to do with fundamentals. Market wouldn't move without news. What I said was to IGNORE the fundamentals (news). It's like a lot of the shitty tools that everybody uses, there's always 50 different ways of interpreting it.

That's why its so easy for news channels to "explain" why a market went in a certain direction each day. Of course they always do this AFTER the fact. Just like all the traders in here. They can always explain why something happened AFTER it happened, but are almost always wrong when trying to use fundamentals to actually forecast and make money.

You don't need to be a fucking economist to trade. You need to be a market reader to trade. If all it took was a solid understanding of economics, then all the economics professors in the world would be filthy rich, but they're not are they?

Now, if we're talking long-term (investing, not trading), then you better know about economics. But for short term trading it is best to ignore the news. You might be tempted to do the opposite of what the market is telling you. Read the market, not the news.
