the rules may seem ridged because they are looking for a certain pa. if one is trading simple s/r my rules are ridged. i am playing s/r with a little more probability based on pa.. it has the disadvantage of being ridged if you look at it as a s/r trader. the advantage is i have a precise min pa target. so i dont trade s/r blindly. and i know when my trade is wrong by the voiding of the target... and i also have the advantage of putting entries strategically. so at the point my trade is voided by voiding a target. i can also enter just before then with greater reward verses risk. i find this the better way to trade.. i get out the trade w/o emotion.. i also enter the trade w/o emotion.
at 3598 the target would have been hit. so the reason for that trade would have been accomplished. sure we can slip well past it. but near 3598, if 3728 had never been touched, it has a good probability of returning to 3728. before going to 3598.. had it got close to 3598, i may have longed. at 3640 it was 50% of the way to 3598.. it stopped in that mofu at 3642.. this was before hitting 3728... then it went to 3728 and made a hh...

357x has never been touched.. 357x is just normal pa to return to, even after the break of 3773. so if i wanted to long, i would wait. earlier this month 3757 was a like number to 357x. if u take 3757 till the the 3891 high.. dead center in the middle atm is the current high... norm + 25%...

what does the open position ratios signify ?

with all the people already short, does the price goes up because there is no one more left to short it ?

or does the prices come down because the longs close their trades to take profit ?

It means we retail traders are most likely will get fked.
Stops are on Bull side so that's where they will try to aim.
Sometimes retail is correct so you have to take your chances.

I should have added shorts on dow earlier this morning. It may retrace to 16000 or more. It just briefly poked into my sell zone, but now it retraced.
