Thanks for the info on trailing stops, i didnt know about this one. Not sure why lmax doesn't send out these update to clients..

i want to share with you a great tool from LMAX :

We have today released a new product that many of you have asked us to develop for you. This will give you a better overview of the spread for larger size trades on LMAX Exchange.

VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) – Price Widget; https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/l...dget-vwap.html (be patient, it takes a few second to upload)

It is pretty self-explanatory but the following should be said with regard to entering a quantity in the VWAP amount field:

1. The VWAP price/spread will, by default, be calculated basis LMAX contracts (e.g. 1 LMAX FX contract = 10,000 notional base currency, 1 LMAX Spot Gold contract = 10oz)
2. Alternatively, a shortened notional amount can be entered in conjunction with the following product based abbreviations:

Example 1; Spot FX Pairs –

‘K’ or ‘k’
‘M’ or ‘m’
- will provide the price/spread in notional E.g. 500k = 500,000 notional/5m = 5,000,000 notional


Example 2; Spot Precious Metals –

‘OZ’ or ‘oz’
- will provide the price/spread in troy ounces


Example 3; Spot Oils –
‘B’ or ‘b’
- will provide the price/spread in Barrels


Equity Indexes – Not applicable at the moment, I will update you all if this change in the future.

we don't have news on new CFD products, as soon as we have we will know on this forum !
about leverage normally it is 100, as you know you, but it can be adapted, If you want a higher lever, please end us email http://wincashbackrebates.com/contact/

Thats a nice widget. I wish they would implement this functionality in the web platform. Its kind of annoying when you want to trade more size than is displayed top of the book.

My charts just froze. The trading platform was still jumping around but IT charts froze.....

Looks like a IT-Finance problem then, or some sort of connectivity issue. Didn't notice anthing strange on the web-platform.

I am using the web platform. Is there more than one web platform?

No.. i meant the order entry web platform itself - i dont use the IT charts. As far as i know, the charts are managed by IT-Finance and not by lmax themself.

Right. They launch from a button on the trading platform - but that doesn't mean you are wrong.
I was using other charts until my machine started behaving strangely recently.

Ok! I need a competent charting package to work with LMAX.

IT Charts is Ok, quite good in some respects, but seems to be missing one or two things to which I have grown accustomed, such as the ability to view a different instrument (like Gold or Oil) without having to launch a new chart just for that purpose. At one point I was using other free charting packages from the web, until they appeared to start snooping....

So does anybody have any suggestions? Currently I use the web-trader interface (it is fast!) but I will consider proprietary software.
Anything from Metaquotes is out of the question.

I'm using SierraCharts with their free fxcm data feed and execute manually with the lmax web-platform. Works for me and its just like $25/month.

HFT Group offers LMAX Exchange accounts at $1000 minimum deposit and 22 per million (12% discount).

This is the route I used to get into LMAX, however my account balance is now zero and I am moving on...

Two things finally did it for me. Charts I have mentioned already, a lack of hedging was the second.
At a weak moment the struggle to fire up the Java charts behind my firewall became the trigger.

It is a shame I think.
The trading platform is really fast.
Also I had no problems getting money in and out.
Seem like a legitimate company which I would use again.....

....and now I'm back!

Been trading LMAX since September/October.

A couple of things have improved - besides my trading that is.....
First I am now running W7 and MicroShaft firewall etc which has the added benefit of allowing Java to start without giving you pain.
Second the charts are behaving themselves, apart from a session in November when my internet connection was upgraded to fibre.

These dayz I am using local SR and the built-in level drawings in IT-Charts can be quite useful.
