Note the two most significant episodes where the MMs pushed up the price to accumulate short orders, not to mention all the notable volumes above the 1/2 LEVEL (PVSRA)! So, if the MMs push up price again, it might be a good opportunity to send in a short Scout.

Could somebody make sense of what the highlighted yellow areas I have marked could mean? It looks quite indecisive to me..
Price pushed down on high volume for accumulation of longs followed by a strong spike of price upwards before heavy selling taking place is all I see, what could be the meaning behind such movements?

PVSRA: GBPAUD

First of all, note there are both a bear pin bar (purple) and a bull pin bar (blue) in this sequence of events. If only the bear pin bar was part of the sequence, we might suspect price to rise afterwards. Conversely, if only the bull pin bar was part of the sequence, we might expect the price to fall afterwards. But with both being part of the sequence, the Market Makers have disguised the fact they are bulls, or are bears, during the entire episode! This sort of PA is done intentionally by the Market Makers/computers to cloak their actions and hence, their intents.

This is a great example of why a PVSRA is inadequate if it does not take into account a broader perspective of price action. We know the Market Makers run prices in up/down fashion during times of consolidation (position building) so as to not reveal if they are bulls or bears, and so they have the best chance at repeatedly sucking in wrong siders to get the liquidity needed to build their positions. Only if we see what is happening real-time on lowest TF charts as well as how PA has behaved overall can we best determine the intent of the Market Makers.

This is just my interpretation,

Thanks TAH, this is the kind of explanation I was looking for. It definitely seems to be a trickier one to determine when price is giving both bear and bull signals. Looking at the H1 I can see this pair has been ranging for around 2 weeks now, notably with the highest volumes occurring over more recent days on the bullish pinbar candlesticks. So in my opinion I think it would be fair to say that GBPAUD is in the reaccumulation phase?

PVSRA: GBPAUD

Your conclusion is opposite mine. Anything is possible. However, I have a H4 TF that just closed as a bull pin bar. So, this continues to look bearish to me. In fact, it casts some doubt in my mind now as to if the MMs will attempt to push the price back above the 1.8600 LEVEL before allowing a bear run for profits.

Hmmm it would appear I have a similar looking bear pinbar on my H4 as well. Also I suppose when looking at the DAY chart we get a similar picture with the formation of 4 bear pinbars and possible another one developing today. Guess we'll find out what the MM's intentions are as things play out further
