4HR needs to close below 101.666() if we are to test Monday's low - 101.380

On the fundamentals/correlation front... I am looking for some long side exposure other than USD. I am currently short EUR,GBP,AUD,NZD and CAD... however I desperately need a long other than USD. I figure the obvious option is long jpy. I am bearish on stocks at these levels, especially after the bad HSBC China and Fed minutes. However recently it seems that USDJPY has lost its convenient correlation with the S&P 500 that it had going for a few weeks there in January. I worry that now that the extreme short yen positioning has be pared back from -140k when USDJPY was 105 to around current levels of 70k... there isnt as much risk off "pop" to being long JPY. As shorts get washed out the fundamentals seem to take over again, especially have Japan's reent horrible GDP number.

Any thoughts?

im hoping for bad news this afternoon from the US to present a buying opportunity

@cityboy don't know how you can trade so much at once, i'm usually 1-2 trades running at any time, 3 if there are some exceptional opportunity. each to their own though, guess your trading style is different to mine.

Why not? I have over 100 running orders at any one time

But only anal-ysing things that can impact the trades

Strong response seen in this pair since hitting 101.66. Just no follow through to the short side to convince me to hold onto my short.
Closed shorts for now.

Possibly needs more retailers to long this pair before it reverses for good

Yeah...UJ has lost some correlation with the sp500.

Someone on CNBC saids that UJ is now moving with the 10-year step by step

USDJPY Long: Insane buying going on in USDJPY. I am long @ 102.30 for a move up to 103.25. This thing is ripe to spring up, the MM have accumulated what they wanted now they want to see sweet signs ($$$) of profit ring in.
Its all in the mind.
