Today I took the time to have an intensive look at the dailies, weeklies and monthlies.

To be honest from the technical side 1.44 and 1.45 are indeed possible targets within multiple months.

Could not have imagined this before but these are cold facts, at least for me.

So I have to count it into my calculations as a possibility as crazy as it sounds short term wise.

EURO bears have had their ass handed to them for the last 6 months...calling a turn on a bullish week is completely fucking insane...

I know it..and in fact, can almost not believe I posted it...

But at the same time, I see what I see...

Now, these are the longer charts, so there will be much to play on both sides of the equation...

Just saying that as the EURUSD bull since the start of the End of Last summer session, I've taken kindly to the weakness in this seemingly strong bull move.

It is what it is...

And then there is the fact that, I drink a lot...

Nice analysis JCL...

What I am seeing on my charts is that we have broken support and that there are no more buyers above the previous monthly open.

This is the bulls zone, if we can get above and hold.

Right now, we are in the Bearish zone and you can see off of the 2 charts posted, this region.

The Red and Blue boxes are Monthly candles superimposed over the shorter time frames. This should give you a sense of where we are, and an idea of where you will find support and resistance areas.

Though we may not agree, you have made some valid and interesting points on your ideas.

Again...It just typically works out better when they don't.

This will change on the retrace back to long...there will be a lot of folk swinging from standing in front of a speeding train to trying to catch falling knives...

I trip the M1 charts, the long charts are typically unimportant...

What is important is the apparent weakness in the strength of this move.

I would like to show something here especially for the ones learning FX.
The following is a perfect example of price action on AUDJPY and to analyse it I use Harmonic swings with precise fibonacci turning points in different timeframes. This can be applied to any instrument but here people are trading fx. I will start showing the charts from Monthly down to 4 hours! This sort of analysis helps you to be on the right side/direction most of the time provided you train your eyes! Ideally you will add the pivots for further confluence, daily pivots/1 hours chart
Weekly pivots/ 4 hour chart and Monthly pivots / daily chart.

Monthly chart: Here price has retraced 61.8 from last swing up, so in principle I should prefer long positions but we need to break down a few timeframes to get an entry with smaller stops unless you want to open a tiny position with a huge stoploss, on this timeframe the stop would have to be hundreds of pips and nobody wants that, the first reason is because all trades carry the same probability, you might have an edge but thats all.

Weekly Chart: Here price shows 78.6 ret after 50% but so far this fib is in the same direction of the monthly!! UP!!

Daily chart: This one has got another 78.6 but in the opposite direction, down.

4 hours: A 1.618 extension that has confluence with the 78.6 on the daily!!

Conclusion. To enter long I would wait for another turn on the daily in confluence with the 4 hour, the same way it just happened now but in the opposite direction.
This system allows small stops, should be placed above the fib, if it breaks forget about it and wait for another setup or another pair. We can use divergence and pivots for extra confluence but generally there is no need.
I entered trades with stops of 2 pips sometimes, but its a lot of work to break it down to the 1 minute where exactly the same happens, but for me its not worth, I don't mind stops 40/100 pips but not risking more than 0,5% of my account.

thanks for the explanation. If I understand correctly then that woukd mean audjpy has a leg down towards the next fib level before ig proceeds upwards.

Simple isnt'it! That is the way the market works. Candlestick watch is important for this strategy but pivots can be helpful too! With the right mind set this strategy is easy and pays off. In the limit you would be looking for a 61.8 or 78,6 ret down before pulling the trigger. With this type of approach you always lose little and can win big, there is no excuse to blow accounts for example!!
