Don't agree on the AU dropping though. I did take some profit in long AU here at 904x and switched to a GU short at 1.646x instead however I think there's almost no chance 91xx is still standing by Asian close tomorrow.

very likely aussie is going 9130 before serious retrace. I am waiting for the retrace to get in longs around 9000/8950.
The big W pattern on daily looks very attractive, and I wont be surprised that it goes to 9400 in weeks.

What I'm telling you though is that the retrace will probably come back to only 907x, if we go through 91xx, not 89xx. If you're still waiting for 89xx AFTER tomorrow you might have stared down 92xx by that time. FX ranges around most days but you never play for a range near large event risk the 2-3 times a month out of 20 some trading days. Yes 1 in 10 days are going to be days where the market will not pull-back and the biggest moves of the year happen on those days. Today and tomorrow are those days.

you may be right, but I would rather get in on a retrace than chasing it.

Anyway, as I said, I'm switching to GBP shorts for now since 907x failed to go on Yellen as it might have, but loading back AU longs before the number tomorrow after things settle.

I do like your plan of shorting equities though, high vol is never a healthy bull market. However, with the broadening top 1850 could be at risk, so scaling in with more weight if it gets above 1850 makes a lot of sense. Risk is going to turn again at some point but the top will be a lot more elusive than many people think and then when it crashes it happens in 1 or 2 days, so that 90% of the people miss it. One of the hardest parts of trading is recognizing the outlier day and taking the correct action on that day
if you were a long-term stock investor it would be very smart to start taking profit, when the market starts fluctuating wildly you know the end is near before a major correction
the problem is when people have too much leverage and need the precision which we all know is extremely difficult

I am going to short dow this time, using spx numbers as a reference. You are right, get in small around dow 16100, and scale in more weight when spx get to 1910. I think the equities will have another big drop when it gets to spx 1910.

They keep pumping up spx with small stocks, but dow struggles.
