If you have to ask yourself this question, you may want to bail. Maybe determine a confirmation signal that will kill your account (like a break off a major trend or S/R). Once it's confirmed, bail without question or fail. IMHO.

Sound advice...though I'm not able to spot anything as yet to decide what to do. Maybe I'm tired today after work. SL has been modified so that if hit account can still function, think i can afford to wait and see for a bit more.

I would NEVER do any buy trades without seeing divergence + volume + s/r area given such high momentum conditions; stay on the sell side for as long as possible.

edit; currently waiting for daily pivot to break or a lower high to form to pull SL to break-even.

edit: Scaled in, protected first part profits, added trailing stop to 2nd part.

edit: trail stop activated, all positions safe, profit guaranteed... no need to watch anymore.

comment: in strong moves like this, trailing stop around 15 pip for GJ is optimal based on my observations... 2cents. How I know this is because I trade counter trend and it is tough as hell to grab 10 pips profit from these strong moves...

edit: Importance of protecting profits because market can reverse anytime!

Maybe the MMs are still not short ... I have been trying a Market Depth analyzer I have developed by myself, for testing orders imbalance, that's to say, when the MMs have much more Bids than Offers, or vice versa. Today I got these results, where RATIO is given by dividing the greater of BID or ASK by ASK or BID respectively. When there are more bids than asks, it is supposed to mean that the MMs have to buy a lot, and therefore the market will go in an uptrend. My broker is a true ecn broker, so I guess the bid and ask volumes are more reliable.

The columns are: SYMBOL BID_VOLUME ASK_VOLUME RATIO TIME (GMT + 1)

Given these information, I would believe at the moment bulls are at an advantage... but i would not trade it because the daily downtrend line is in the way...

and enigmafx did mention something about correlation between gold and e/u at the moment. I did look at gold a while back, same kind of bullish pattern was present, although overall trend is still down.

Typically after one of these curved thingies, if the bounce was from a significant area, it'll break out very very strongly.

My guess is markets are waiting for Yellen to give the green light to rally.

Based on Wyckoff Law of Effort (volume) versus Result (price) in action I developed an indicator that measures Volume Vs Price movement Ratio.
What it does is it calculates the average of movement in pips (high-low), and average of volume per X number of bars.
Then it calculates the ratio = AvgMovement / AvgVolume
Lastly it calculates the deviation of each bar from the average ratio.

In theory it could help to find anomalies in pips movements proportionally to the volume in a given bar.

However Im not finding any interesting patterns.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Interesting Idea, do you have a line indicator? if not I can help you code it
