EURAUD H1 up to now 2 trades

1st trade on LO candle break of the consolidation zone. Moved 23 pips to the 50% fibo and turned back. => Resulted in B/E
2nd trade I exited in 2 parts. One early with +17 pips and reset of the SL, the other targeted the +60 pips (swing low from 13th Jan) => +38 pips in average
(I had luck: My resetted stop wasn't hit by 3 to 4 pips on the first EUR news and after my target was reached view minutes before EUR and USD news, afterwards the news candle shoot up)

please tell me what you mean the TDI doesn't work.

do you see the TDI on your chart.

The euro seemed to be the mover today.
I got on ej H1 after the news candle closed above previous week's low,
was hoping for a retrace back to round number for better entry but it just continued upward.
TP 100 pips reached at the 50% fib of last H4 swing.

Very nice, composed trading there IMI - I've seen you do a few of these trades where you enter after the news candle and TP is usually 100 pips, very well done.

I attempted the same trade but was caught on the pull back of the candle after the news. I usually have a stop at 50% Fib of the news candle, and due to the volatility I can see this is a bit too tight.

Any suggestions on how you monitor this would be helpful. Also did you not place any trades prior to the news on this occasion we did have a good angle TDI cross down at some key support levels.

Wow - very nice trade Imi.

I am allways a little shy to enter after such news events, because of this frenetic momentum. It is ok, when I am in the trade and this is secured by B/E stop.
What did you convince that the move will continue up after the news. Was the H1-candle close above the previous weeks low the essential hint?

I still cannot find them in my MT4 navigator this is frustrating me now cos I cannot take trades I only took on trade today I don't know what to do I have done all I could with your guidance but it now showing any thing in the navigator pane I have uninstall and reinstall the mt4 software again still the same need help urgently

upwards after the release. Like I have mentioned in above post, after H1 closed price didn't even retrace back to round number which was about 18 pips back.
To answer your question I do not enter trades before high impact news such as cash rate , I always wait after the release, in fact I was watching gj at the time of the news, and it was in a small range with not much movement at all. I switched to ej and that hourly candle was about to close.
It had a strong momentum and broke and closed above PWL , where it had been rejected before on the 5th and 6th this week.
Additionally, you can draw a trendline where you can see HLs , and that candle happened to be the third touch of that trendline, which can be the strongest.
Also on my chart , H4 candle closed in the same time, which also was a very nice strong pullback pinbar. H4 tdi had already crossed then recrossed above MBL,
following the movement of PA, little pullback then shoot away

as you can see above on my chart (post 30,470) I tried this long attempt on EURAUD too. But I went in earlier, on the break of the consolidation zone to the upside. This happened about 25 min after the LO. Normally one can expect in minimum a move of the size of height of the consolidation zone.

As I experienced many a time in my trading, the more you wait on confirmation of the right direction, the more does it cost, because during the time price action does its way and goes further. So I try to get in a little earlier, taking into account that this will not allways work and getting a manageable loss, but have the chance to move the stop earlier to a B/E level.

The next small S/R levels were waiting @1,5200, where price stopped after the news. So entering at your point would have been too late for me.

Targeting min 50 pips I pulled the stop on B/E as price went up. I thougth shortly about to move the stop not directly at B/E (as the +20 pips were reached) but rather under the low of the entry candle, because sometimes on breakouts out of a consolidation zone, price will retrace back to the entry, before the move continues. But I set it on B/E risking to be thrown out.

I do not know why you didn't pull the trigger and closed the position long before the -57 loss occurs at news time. There were several red candles and a TDI PL turn with a cross of the MBL after your entry.
Do not hope, that a position will turn in your favor over this time, because the market should make what you saw. I did that hundred times and always the market was right and I was wrong. So you should close a position at least when you see the signs to enter to the opposite side (my 2nd trade, perhaps a little early too)

BTW, be careful with divergences. They can, but should not give a signal. Look at the buslish divergence from 01/30 23:00 to 02/03 15:00. The main trend was downwards and the bullish divergence started a retracement, but didn't break the trend.

This depends of the OS you have, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (8.1) if this is the later case, them the Templates directory and other indicators goes to the User folder...example: C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming.....\Mt4.

But for you to see this folder you have to on the Control Panel, switch Folder Options, the option to view "Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives"

Hey everyone, i took this trade off the daily TF, but still used the same rules of TMS for entry. I noticed on the daily TF a strong momentum candle so i waited or the second candle to form. TDI was just crossing over red and yellow as well as the TDI showing divergence. Looking at the standard candlestick chart, i noticed price had broken out of a recent consolidation (few days ago) which also added confluence as well as price had room to go up before it hit the 100EMA. The ADR has been decent for this pair so i took the trade. It lasted overnight, but i decided to scale out some and bank a little profit. This afternoon i looked at the lower TF and noticed price has been ranging so i decided to close out the rest of my position before the AUD monetary policy statement news release. Overall i gained a total of about 69 Pips although since i scaled out im not sure if thats an accurate statement since price varied as i banked profits at different pip levels. Am i correct on this? Otherwise did i miss anything on my chart that i should have taken into consideration?

My bad, i entered on the news candle shortly after the data was released and got caught on the pullback. In hindsight should have entered on the close and break above.
