I think Steve Nison calls that.
But Thomas Bulkowski has different name for the same thing.

If you don't mind, could you please give me some information about HeikenAsh DM and Magnified Symbol & TF on chart.ex4? I made Google research but couldn't find proper information. In addition, when I run MT4 (build 509), Magnified Symbol & TF on chart.ex4 mysterically disapears from my indicators folder. Have you seen the same issue before? Once it disappeared, it even cannot be found on Trash bin. (I am running MT4 on Mac using Crossover.)

Evening everyone,


I got a prompt to update my MT4 today, which I refused. But I figure I will be forced to do it at some point soon.

So what can I do to prepare?

I have saved all my files from my current version (templates, indicators, EA, scripts), so that I can then copy them over to the corresponding folders in the new version.

Is there anything else I can do or should do? I'm getting worried reading these horror stories about indis no longer working, etc.

Has anyone updated and not had any issues at all? If so, what OS are you running. I'm on Windows 8.1..

I have not placed very may trades lately, due to work and also when I have free time I have taken to reading all Big E's posts again right form page 1. To remind myself exactly what the basic are of this strategy and improve my confidence in taking trades.

But I am always reading the recent posts also.

Opened sell on EJ and GJ. Slightly premature before the TDI cross but PA bounced right off my designated R area for the week on both pairs and therefore the area where I really watch PA closely.

EJ H1 trade.

Sentiment for the day was short, since price bounced off the 23.6% level and couldn't close above it, with bearish divergence, waited to enter beyond the break of the double bottom and got stopped out after. TP was at previous support.

Anything I missed? Or was my SL too tight? -26pips

EA H1 trade.

Price currently in a downward channel, sentiment is to continue downwards. Price retraced at the 23.6% fib, TP was at previous support. +59 pips

Anything I missed for this trade too?

What good is it to show past trades? Why not posting when you enter?

@Alfis. I'm still a newbie but here's what I think.

This area is difficult to trade at the moment because

1. the pair struggled a lot in this area creating S/R all over the place. Price could bounce in any direction. I marked the S/R in red for you to see.
2. price is respecting the trend line quite strongly. So if I am to enter this trade, I would wait to entry signal to form close to the trend line so I have some space to trade away from it. I put a red arrow there as somewhere I would enter trade.

Because the idea is to learn the system for yourself and not piggyback ride other people's trades. And by you I don't mean you personally.

Some of us do it, though.

Entering GJ. Price rejected 164.000 leaving a long wick and engulf the previous bar. TDI crossed up, HA color changed.

TP 50 pips around the trend line. Will see what it does if it hit 165.000

Triple bottom has me gunning for 100, though.

So? Who cares if they want to piggyback? I would be happy if my trades actually make money for other people. The more the better. Don't need to be selfish. Not you but some....
The best way to learn is realtime. So If I make a trade, I post it. if it's wrong then somebody can correct me with better experience. So much money out there you really won't make it worse for yourself if you show realtime your trades.
I've never understood that.

it is a very risky trade. I would love to see some sort of confirmation first. I hope it works out for ya.

The idea is for people to learn. You are not helping them learn by biasing them.

Conversely, you are not helping yourself by biasing yourself wheneve you post a trade and someone tells you he wouldnt take it for this or that reason.

The only way to progress is thru trial and error. Your own trial and error.

Yessir. Those are the ones. Price failed to move lower three times now.. I'm guessing a good move up is in order

@Attilafx - thanks. Since I'm primarily a PA trader, my confirmation is the signal candle itself and the level it forms I'm trying to combine what I know about PA with TMS and so far it's making lots of sense.
