Of course, the only reason he posted is because he is impressed by the pips Sonicers are gaining. Unfortunately for him, while he is duly and rightfully impressed by the success of Sonicers, his view of the market is not as knowledgeable as is ours. And his personality apparently tends to be negative. I don't recall him ever posting here before, so it is difficult to grasp what he expected to accomplish with this one.
Maybe he just wanted to put his ignorance on display.
He is not an accurate proclaimer, either, as I am not the co-author of this thread. I am just a trader that was invited by Master Sonicdeejay to join. I did and I am a better trader for doing so. Thank you, Sonic.
This guy has been at Forex Factory since September 2011, and contributed only 54 posts, most just promoting his favorite book. Really, there is not much helping of others at all from this person.

Actually I do see you have a point there - and as Sonic says let the price action and dragon show the way. I agree that most trades taken here
pvsra vise are premature and account for some huge drawdowns before it might turn in the right direction.

Hansma, you see that he is suggesting a trader is most successful with one entry at just the right place. Sure! And wouldn't it be nice if it were all that easy. The point is that it is neigh onto impossible to consistently trade that way. And he is showing his ignorance by suggesting it as the criteria for competency.
A benefit of PVSRA is that a trader that is not so good at one thing or another, at one time or another, can use PVSRA and trade lightly and thus be forgiven a lot of mistakes! I ought to know. I have frequently entered trades way too soon. Yet, with PVSRA most come to profit whereas had I traded larger, as I would and as anyone would if being a one entry trader, I would have been slaughtered countless times.
Of all the ways to suggest a trader who was competent would trade, to suggest that they would be making just one entry that would be in their favor is like saying if a person was a competent believer in Jesus Christ as Savior, then the person would have as much metabolized doctrine in his soul as did Jesus. If perfection was the criteria for competency, no one would ever be considered competent.
I realize that your trades involve one or few entries. It works good for you, no doubt by your postings. And it works for many others I am sure. But this guy's comment declaring competency to be one entry per trade that is right on spot versus many entries that perhaps involve many that were not right on spot, is of no help to the majority of traders and especially new traders just beginning to get their feet wet. It is an proclamation without credibility, and that causes more folks to lose more quickly whatever they have staked to try and become a trader.
He was not trying to make a point to help others. He was just jumping into being negative towards something he saw and interpreted, without having any real understanding. I'd like him to demonstrate for several years or more his real-time trades (assuming he is even a real trader). Now that would be a proclamation of interest. But after his being on FF for almost two and a half years, there isn't a single one by him! He is negative. He is not really trying to help others. And he is wrong in the very essence of his assumption about competency.

hmm TAH, do you have any stats regarding this. What is your minimum drawdown for your initial positions, and what is your max. What is the mean and variance? Is there a way you can better optimise your entry points. Say after you see the first signal to enter, hold and wait for 100 pips move before entering a larger size.
Just a suggestion because if you keep detailed records I am sure there're ways to improve here.

I am sure there are a variety of ways to improve. However, in my state of ongoing imperfection, if my attempts at trading Classics and at performing a passable PVSRA do allow me to continue as a trader, even with all of my "non-optimized" entries, is that all bad?

Last candle was IMHO a NO DEMAND candle.
i will short only when the low of that particular candle is broken.
PS: allmost all TF are screaming for Short... Weakness everywhere.

dear TAH, i try to download the last updated mt4 and then installed the sonicr template, i found that the ffcal indi and the control panel didn't compatible anymore. please help, thank you.
I was wondering if I had been the only one to have had this occurrence..
Edit1: Upon downloading a different brokers MT4 (FXCM) I tried to install the indicators by pasting them in the indicators folder and when I try to open them through Indicators --> Custom etc they're not visible
Edit2: Check this out..looks like the upgrade wasn't just my broker (VantageFX) after all..
