If anyone here is using LMAX as a broker. Is it possible to link LMAX (metatrader) in he FF Trade Explorer
(LMAX is not listed as a Trade Explorer broker )

As far as i know,Max lev. 1:200 MT4 only.(option)
lmax`s min.deposit is 10000us$.

Does anyone have any experience trading gold on a live account with lmax? (or trading other cfd's)

Cfd spreads are too high and lacking liquidity.. LMAX is okay for FX
For everything else use Futures..


Btw there is no way to change the max leverage on your accounr

XAG/USD and XAU/USD as well as fx is very good, don't bother with index cfds tho. There is only a single liquidity provider for those. They maybe ok for medium to longterm trades where transaction costs dont matter as much, but not for shortterm trading in my opinion.

Spot gold is a cfd as well on lmax. Spreads on it seem ok (on average +/-20points, varies between 10-30 points during EU session), but that doesn't say much about execution/slippage/liquidity. Any live experience?

Execution is the same on all instruments on lmax - price/time priority order matching like on an exchange. If you like the liquidity/spreads you see you can trade it. Personally i only trade the major fx pairs.

Right, I know I have extolled the spreads on LMAX, but they are not always vanishingly small.
I am looking at Cable right now, 10 minutes before market rollover, and the spread on Cable is 1.2 ~ 1.6; but occasionally down to 0.6.
I have 1-pip on Fibre, but UJ is only 0.6 ~ 1.0.
