Took this AU trade (H1) yesterday for 48.2 pips (Demo, Mini lot). This is what I looked for before taking this trade and before closing it.


1. Yes, I did took the trade when TDI (Green crossed Red pointing 5 O'clock) and made 20.1 pips Trade open(Short) at 0.87941 and closed at 0.87740 and closed the trade manually. Why ? Because, I see the PA running towards pivot point (0.87696) and Stoch turning color.

Waited for an hour or so, small red candles built but no sign of long trade.The red candles went passed pivot point (0.87696) and I see a bounce in TDI (green bouncing back from red) and support turning resistance (0.87353) is a long way down.

2. I re-entered the short trade at (0.87613) see the attachment below and waited for it to passed support/resistance (0.87353) which was broken before see on the left of PA.

3. Waited and TDI green goes flat, I close the trade at (0.87131) keeping 48.2 pips.

So, in total I gained 20.1 + 48.2 pips = 68.3 pips

Any recommendations and suggestions will be appreciated.

P.S. A question though, Are pivot points (S&R) provided by different brokers vary. IBFX indicator gives different values than the dailyfx.com. Which one to trust ?

I really can't see what your problem is but if you are trying to discredit Emmanuel you sure aren't going to get very far. You are talking about a gentlemen, a true master in my opinion, that offers everybody on this thread endless help and support and asks for absolutely nothing in return. That my friend is the very definition of a master! There have been "custodians" of this thread since "Big E" passed that have come and gone but without Emmanuel keeping an eye on things this thread would be nothing short of a joke. If you had to respond to every silly previously-answered newbie question that has been posted on this thread 100's of times you would want to try to keep things on track aswell and stay true to a simple yet effective method.

I am sure Emmanuel not retaliating back at you has infuriated you even more but you must realise that negativity will not get you anywhere here. You obviously have a big ego that is in need of some drama and negative energy but you could do that all on your own and leave the rest of the members on here in peace from your negativity.

Congratulations on your trades, well done.

People can be annoying and undermine other peoples good intentions here on the thread, it already happened before.
One way to get rid of this people is just by blocking them.

Hi Phx62, I'd like to say thank you for your time and effort on posting your charts and teach us newbies on how to trade using TMS system. I haven't read all of the post here on this thread but I have read your your past trading result and analysis from pdf files that you uploaded to FF and your post on Xman thread. So I'm sorry if the question I am about to ask you has been answered before. Please kindly just point me to previous post no. At that time you focused mainly on E/U and E/J 1hr chart. My question is how do you know when to change your focus on different currency pairs. Is like if a currency pair ADR is below 100 pips for the past 3 weeks/months then you might start looking at other currency pairs?

Let me try this one:
Question: How can we identify this fake buy entry (EURJPY 2014.01.31 09:00)?

Answer:
1. Identify weekly trend f.ex. By marking HH LH HL LL and drawing trendlines to your chart
TREND: DOWN
2. Draw Fibonacci retracement from last Swing High and Swing Low

So for now we aknowledge that:
Weekly trend: DOWN
Daily trend: ????

For easier recognition of the daily trend I will usually change from 1H chart to 15MIN chart in London Open. If you don't know what is 1-2-3 Pattern I suggest you to go and watch all the videos under 1-2-3 Trading Strategy in: http://www.compassfx.com/video/

3. 1-2-3 Down identification: After a down move price fails to close above 61.8 retracement.
4. See the pattern unfold in your chart and enter the trade:
Aggressive entry (when price closes below 50.0 retracement): Sell 139.051 SL 139.217 + Spread
Conservative entry (When price closes below 15MIN PAC): Sell 138.842 SL 139.034 + Spread
5. After 21 pips move SL to entry. In a trending market it's good to manage the trade in 1H chart, but if the market would be ranging then I would suggest you to monitor it in 15MIN chart.

Notice that TDI confirms already the aggressive entry with a nice angle. This 1-2-3 pattern is quite common so for TMS traders it is something to be aware of. Please find my charts with notes attached.

Hi there,

Look at the bigger picture, don't just focus on the setup. This week has been full of setups such as this one. First off, 139.744 is the previous weekly low, which was broken and price consolidated below it for a while. It becomes apparent that price is headed lower. Price had been trapped between the prev weekly low and the 139.135 level almost all week. And then friday morning, price broke that level and consolidated below it. At this point a downward trendline could be drawn. The bull candle that you indicated was just way too close to the TL for me to even consider going long. That and the fact that if you jump to a weekly chart you will see that the past 2 weeks have been bearish, and on the daily chart you can see a succession of new lows. For me to go long right now, would mean that price has to make a higher low or double bottom (a 123).

To put it in a nutshell, you were buying into a sell-off.

Always be careful with that Tokyo close H1 candle.
I use your chart and made some comments by looking back to the previous candles for price action.

I see you use a GMT+2 broker, am I right?

There was a huge H4 candle further left and that followed b=with many smaller candles. That H4 was a master candle and 31 jan was the MC brreakout just before that blue candle your marked as fakey.

Hi Helanka,

Wdays and meanwhile are spot on great posts.

One other point is if you look at the TDI you see the green and red line are below the 50 and the mbl which I know PHX62 considers when taking trades. Quite often you see the green line react and bounce off the mbl.
