Swissy buyers are defending euro against dollar.

Interesting to see this 30min close to even get a hint if chf defends itself as a winner over jpy and thus may prevent euro from dipping.

Just look at what the market did before the report, should it be any surprise big money exited their positions before the report?
We will probably need a day or two now to figure out where the market is going next.

All i can say that if that case turns true, it will become ugly. :nerd:

But most of flows still going into jpy and chfjpy lives really strong uptrend right now and it will take time to break that.

On the other hand, Euroswissy will be defended around 1.2150/1.22 so prices are at interesting levels.....not a coincidence.

The pre-report movement down only confirmed to me that some big bears decided to cash in while they could.
1.40 in February.

Both Cable and EURUSD are down no more than 20 pips on the day despite heavy selling for much of 40 minutes.

There seems to be little or no traction to the downside so my money is on the high range being tested again both in Asia and in Europe tomorrow

Even after all the hype of the FOMC report The Euro is still respecting the rising trend line.

bulls need 3677 then 3685. bears, a LL to erase the h hammer. if bulls get their way. 3740 + should get a visit. above 3643 atm, 3643 is pivotal.

Whereas the committee previously stated that it expected economic activity would accelerate, the January statement says that growth has picked up in recent quarters and, "with appropriate policy accommodation, economic activity will expand at a moderate pace" in the coming months. - Finally, and as we expected, the committee made no mention of the recent financial market volatility in its statement.
