{quote} Yes. Then we would not bounce 3 times from the new support, only 2 times. Which is enough for MY rule book to go in a CT trade.

But it will hit your SL right?

If you're talking about the entry where I marked with the green box......if you're not, then disregard this post: Had you entered at the green box...the previous signal to the one FOM took, why would you have got shaken out of the trade???

The SL for both entries would have been the same.....*below the previous swing low*

EDIT, maybe this will help:

Is there some nice bearish divergence forming on GJ on the H1 chart? (provided stochastic carries on crossing)

My point of view ...

On the positive side :

- with the trend
- exited when it hit previous support

Only thing I would've been cautious about is that it is right before Euro open, and in particular, before Euro open on a Monday - can often be very choppy / indecisive then (in my experience).

But 21 pips is a good haul. Congrats.
1 pip at a time ... if the entries are strong, the rest will follow ...

Good trade ExcessFX - is it just me or is the matrix not aligned at entry? Did you take it on M1? (Maybe my eyes are out ?)

Thanks PM1, Yes it was a M1 entry, however i saw M5, 15, 30, H1 all drop from high together so i entered.
I also saw the divergence as per my last post.

Exited on first discoloured M5 matrix (closed candle). A conservative exit, but wise in this case.

To be critical... I traded against the H4 stoch, and now GJ appears to be bullish.

Good result on the trade XS.

I turned it down given the H1 stoch was still flying high above the 80 level and H4 stoch was heading up strongly as well.

Fortune favoured the brave on this one!

I m sorry for posting trades late. I have been busy last few weeks. Got 61 pips from EA short (1min time frame). By the way two questions,

  1. Do you guys enter in the previous sell signal which I pointed in the below screen shot? Why I didn’t enter in that line is I thought there will be another pullback towards the daily pivot. But I was wrong.
  2. When you take a trade as same as this trade, where will you place your stoploss, in SL1 or in SL2 ?

Nice trade asithaya
In my opinion, your entry was good, except entry candle wasn't off 5MA. I'm not sure about previous entry that you've mentioned. I would also be worried about the pullback and change in direction, plus M1 arrow was against. Also bottom sotch looks flat.
As for stoploss, as an alternative, you can drag your SL line above next swing high. In that case you have secured some pips in your pocket and you give your trade room to breathe in case it goes further south.
Cheers!

Maybe you could try with some harder rules when it comes to money management. If you are afraid that green trade will become red, you can set BE+1 after 15 or even 10 pips on M1 for example. Right after you enter the trade, BE is set so if your trade goes 10 or 15 pips in profit, depending on your settings, your trade would be a safe ride from that point, no need to worry anymore. That way you can eliminate over-thinking and save your self from getting exhausted. If a trade goes in your direction, great, try figuring your TP or bring your SL down/up. If not, you're BE on that trade so no loss, concentrate on finding another entry.

We will beat this creature!

Cheers!

3rd chart "is this the right place to enter" - well yes............your actual entry I would categorise as a re-entry.
