chart goes back to 1982. AUD has only been free floadting since 1983, so it has ALL of the history of the AUDNZD

I typically 'just use =' to confirm price levels.

yeh, but the difference is the = is a bank quoted feed, and the =R is a composite feed and just takes AUD= and divides by NZD= with the respective bid and asks.

Nowadays there is next to no arb between AUDNZD quoted prices and composite and so there is not difference, but when markets where less liquid there were times.

Generally, one should use =R on cross pairs that aren't that liquid with quoting such as EURCAD, EURAUD, GBPAUD, GBPNZD AUDCAD etc etc

I'm thinking this pair will break down past the support zone or might range between 1.0500 and 1.0800 for a little while.

It seems to me that right now both the AUD and NZD seem to be sliding down in a race so thats why I think that it might hit a range for a while. (Well NZD is ranging but looks like its going to take a swing down).

I'm not really sure right now but I'm going to be watching this pair over the next couple of weeks I think its going to have some prime trades once we hit some real big support or resistance level. I'm tempted to posit that we will bounce up out of this zone before a major thrust back down to hit that support @ 1.04xxx.

PA has passed thru and returned to the Blue line which joins the previous lows ( 1.02 in 1997 and 1.04 in 2005) Price should continue down to next resistance level at around 1.0450

On AUDNZD, we have got a long term setup. On monthly chart as you can see below, we can see a strong level of support. Price is bouncing back from that area of support and going up. On daily time frame, we would be placing a buy stop order and let the price to trigger the order.

so far looking good, seeing light in the wood above 1,0735 while a real exit lies above 1,0900
