I am aware, there has been much talk and speculation of AUDNZD systems...

I am posting the following system that works manually (so far)for me...and wondering if anyone has something to say on its profitability ( or lack of it )

The system in based on high correaltion, with high expectancy for mean of reversion (at list some reversion) and incorporates a martingale approach.

1. NO STOP LOSS . - TAKE PROFIT 30 PIPS.

ONLY usd the most correlated pairs that have large swings: AUDNZD, AUDCAD, and EURGBP.
I do not use EURCHF - for the pair is too thin ( few real pull backs) in price action for this system

2. I use zig zag indicator and 1h charts to determine tops and bottoms. the purpose of this indicator to identify latest top or bottom.

3. 1st Entry : enter with BUY/SELL LIMIT when price reaches 100pips from the bottom/top and put TP 30 pips
---------------------------------------

you will martinegale( average) every -50 pips, with TP 30pips. Explained below :

4. If target is not reached , and price pushes further 50 pips ( 150 total) , enter with another order ( double of the original) and recalculate the 30 pips TP.

5. Enter again if needed at (-200 pips ) adjust TP

6. I have not seen the pairs above trending for more that 250 pips with out retracing at list 30 pips at some point. ( almost will never happen)

7. use appropriate lot sizes and leverage !!!!

THE SYSTEM WAS EDITED TO AUDNZD PAIR ONLY !!!

You know the zig-zag is a notorious repainter?

You're combining a repainting indicator with a martingale and no stop losses.

yes, I am aware..... zig zag is not important here.... top/bottoms are!!! and price action.....I used zig zag to help me with backtesting. But its NOT a requirement . What matters is 100 pips move with less than 30 pips retrecment.
thanks

how often do you see zig zag changing after 100 pip move ....????

I'm "developping" a technique especially for audnzd as well, and i've demo testing the no stop loss system. I can tell you it'll cost you your account.
ZigZag indi ain't really the prob, you can see swings nicely, the prob is the no stop loss.

My advice is : change your system before you lose your money.

Wanna succeed in trading audnzd ? Scalp the hell out of it.
I'm backtesting scalping method for this pair, so far it's working, even though i'm waiting to see how much the drawdown will be (hope there won't be any though)
If i have time i'll make a trading journal out of it.
My goal is to turn my mere 30USD into 1000USD.
Weeks , months, years, i don't know how much time i need

Anyway good luck with this sweet pair!

Though I'll have to see if AUD/NZD is in my platform cos I've never seen that before, I like to ask, how long have u been trading this system live and do u have a win- loss ratio. Maybe it can be refined

Yeah... it's really AMAZING!!

Ok.. sometimes I trade without a stoploss. But my position alows me to turn off the computer and come back 2 or 3 days later and still be alive even if the trade is going all against me. It's just my personal perference, since my trades usaually last for one week or more... and I like to close my positions manually.

but trading wit no SL and 30pips TP and martingale is something your broker will beg for you to do...
Many share my views with me. But I don't share them with them...

Look at the daily trend, is it going up or down, only trade in the direction of the daily trend on say the hour chart, using the situation above as entries. This is a system of mean reversion, as long a you go in the direction of the bigger trend you will be ok. When the daily trend turns, you should be able to exit the wrong positions on a retrace.

Good luck

Mike

Already being used by Robominer :

http://www.forex-goldmine.com/AboutUs/cms/About_Us.html

AUDNZD is a large rangebound pair for a very long time.

The problem is if it ever breaks the range then your account will be totally destroyed.

MM is the key to long term succesfull trading.

I just came across ROBOMINER ( retail EA) , apparently it has drawn quite a bit of attention . It looks like my system since they both share same basic idea.
Interested to find out more from someone who actually traded Robominer live.

Does anyone know the details to Robominer's trading signals or its Money Management ???

IS anyone trading/developing similar methods now with AUDNZD

****I have looked into the pairs above thoroughly and came to the conclusion that the system is compatible with AUDNZD only since I was able to find large trends with no significant pull backs/ups in AUDCAD and EURGBP. SO LETS FOCUS ON AUDNZD.
Buy low , Sell high

I've tryied applying the same way i trade audnzd to eurgbp and audcad, without success.
Each pair has his own move, so it's own system i'd say.
I'll stay with audnzd forever now!

I challenge anyone to find a losing trade with this system.

-AUDNZD- ( you can use 30m or 1h chart)

use the following MM for this challenge.

account ballance : $10,000.00

4 leg martingale only: (0.1-0.2-0.6-0.9) = TOTAL 1.8 lots the most
reminder : TP 30 pips. ( $30 with this MM)
1st position entry : price move -/+100 , 2nd : 150 , 3rd: 200 and 4th : 250 .

submit your findings / chart here!!!

BEST OF LUCK !!!!!!

28th of july...1 hour chart
Price was between 1,2200 & 1,2300...the low was 1,22 so considering your strategy you start selling at 1,2300 (+100 pips)...
It never went back to 1,2300 until now, and the high was 1,2800+
500 pips drawdown for a 30 pips target ain't a correct MM.
And considering price action it's going to 1,3000-1,31000.

Without a stop any system is about to make you lose your account one day or another.

Good luck to you!

6th of October 2009, price went around 1,1920 then rose 1,2020 (+100 pips), so far i've never seen the price going back below 1,2080.
Which means another 900 pips drawdown.

I'm sure there are plenty of other examples, just have to spot high & low on daily then zoom out on 1h to see what's the price is doing.

Again, without stoploss any system is a failure

thank you for your time and observations, but I don't see how the system losses on those days/ trades, unless the spread is extremely large !!!. Please see attached charts !!!!!

i see what you mean with stop loss though.... I am for stop losses , don't get me wrong, but not here... I would prefer to apply other MM methods such as increasing martingale to 5 legs, OR decreasing TP profit with multiple lots open , Or breaking even with the last leg. Stop loss is not for this system !!!!
Buy low , Sell high
