MMs stopping the drop, pumping it back up on lighter activity, then resuming accumulation of short orders with heavier activity. My take. I could be wrong, have been before. Time will tell.
And, take a look at H1. It suggests the MMs played "pretend bull" to suck in longs and stop out shorts (green bar), then focused on accumulating short orders (purple bar closing lower), and then finished by "bitch slapping" the market with more heavy shorting sufficient to drag the price down even further (red bar). In context, if this is what happened, then this has to be going lower because the MMs would not go thru all that without a plan to torpedo the price later to get the price down where maybe banks have placed their exit orders, and where the MMs can not only make commissions filling those bank trade exit orders, but can make personal profits closing their own accumulated short trades.
