GJ short Very clear HPT signal with all trendy stochs and stuff - well, for me it is... While I'm writing it's coming to a BRN, together with GU btw - action stations! {image}

Your chart raises another question I've wondered about. How does everyone feel about entering a little late on the Matrix signal. In other words if the stochs finally line up a few bars after the actual signal, are you still taking it depending on other factors.

Surely I wait for some time till my criteria is met. That's the plan - enter only when everything lines up!! Especially if conditions are favourable for a HPT to form. It's not an aggressive one when I wanna get in as well as out asap but recently I take them less and less - there're enough HPTs on offer - why to get in a risky one... And it's 'very' rare to get a HPT in an m1 bar. If it's really too late and set-up gets ugly I'll just wait for the next one!

Asithaya,

EDIT: Appears Asithaya deleted his post ???

As you probably have seen, there are many ways to trade Genesis.

Genesis traders use different TFs, and different filters, that is the beauty of the system.

What you have described is a very sensible approach.

But yes and strong trending market is very easy to trade, and is where you should be aiming to make the majority of your profits.

Rangebound days, are obviously far harder to trade.

But I dont change my entry criteria, just alter my expectations/exits.
I am a fallible imperfect person; so I must be a fallible imperfect trader.

Marty,

A question for you.............looking at eltax's post #21186 and the attached chart, the point you were making the other day about overlaying M5/M15 and watching the M5 break up through a rising M15 stoch - that chart, for the last long trade, would be a great example of what you were explaining???

I agree there Zoran....and it is surprising how hard that can be to realize so you're doing well. The 10 pips per day is a good one to start with and then how to play winning trades correctly to your strategy which can lead to the 10 being 15 or 20. When you are satisfied with your plan, big moves, although still exiting to watch, don't mean you have "missed" something.
Patience with a calm mind........

What I mean by bad signals could be stoch's not at a good angle, BRN close by etc etc

Taking every matrix grid signal doesnt work

Before or after LO doesn't matter.

Why would a BRN close mean the signal is bad?

-Sell Entry

-BRN----------------

Seems kinda risky selling right above a BRN or Buying below one. Thats just my opinion

My opinion is - that depends. You'll miss a lot of nice set-ups if you set a rule to never enter when BRN is on the way...

Moot points

Each set up is like a snow flake..............similar in form but all unique to their own.

Discussion about signals close to a BRN or other should always be put into context, with a chart. The variables on offer are many and varied....TF, session, trading style, chart set up, R:R, MM, which way the wind is blowing etc etc.
