Yes, grabbed them from his site. Works now I kinda thought it called another indi. Xaphod is amazing with his programming and indicators.

the TDI only show the increase or decrease in the price relative strength index (RSI).
there is no direct relation to price like moving average.
the TSL Red and MBL yellow are moving average of the RSI not the price.

read up here RSI.

Thanks for the heads-up.

What I originally meant was, (for simplicity sake) if the price goes up 20 pips, the TDI green moves up. It couldn't possibly move down. So when the TDI green has crossed down over the red, the price has probably moved down 20 pips, which isn't it considered a late entry? (Still understanding the fact that TDI green doesn't move like a MA).

Or if I'm misunderstanding something here, could someone clarify please, thanks.

Hi all,

The breakout at 140.5 i previously mentioned has now developed along with a TDI signal on the hourly chart along with satisfactory stochastic level as originally anticipated. so thats good enough now for me to enter short at improved price 140.866 .... the patience has paid off to enter the trade with more confidence of the direction now that a clear break from the consolidation has occurred. We will see in a day or so how it progresses and whether an opportunity will present itself to a)protect any profit and b)add further positions if it shows promise to run. I'll let you know..cheers LL

I find this post a bit confusing, so perhaps you could clarify for me. I don't see a breakout of 140.5, I see price got there and bounced but not breakout, I also can't see a signal yet on H1.

Hello Geomoon, main reasons were H4 synergy bar already turned red, tdi turning down almost crossed, lower high on H1 with a nice cross of the TDI, m5 closed below the tiny support on m5.

Round numbers have much more visible effect on price in the M5 & M15 time frames. On the H1, they are just another S/R area to be aware of but, in my opinion, not a reason to stay out of a trade. As far as the previous days low, price was breaking below that line on my entry. In my opinion, daily highs and lows are lesser S/R areas. There must be other confirmation, like candle patterns or slow market movement to show that price will hesitate or reverse at the daily low. If I concentrate on why I should stay out of a trade, I can always find a reason to do that and maybe would never enter a trade. I prefer to find reasons to enter a trade and if there are enough reasons to enter, I do. Even when I am wrong on an entry, I can close it out for a small loss and look for another trade.

Just to clarify, yes my TDI signal i agree was not properly crossed at that point, maybe i am a little premature on that as such but the combination of signals, including the TDI were close enough for me to be sufficiently satisfied and confident to enter. Price broke the 140.5 level that I was interested in and thats when I chose to enter, the price simply moved as I was executing the order, favourably as it happens.

Perfections in condtions rarely exist and I believe, rightly or wrongly that the majority must justify a trade that they are interested in firstly to themselves , particularly when all their prerequisite condtions are not perfectly met, or the safe alternative is not trade, but I'd think we would do very little trading if we waited for ideal set ups all the time. However, I' m here to learn whilst I trade, mistakes and all, so I'll always welcome constructive guidance from the kind souls such as yourself that help all of us out....its greatly appreciated

Can't win them all...but it sure would of been a sweet trade if I had taken it....I did well on the GBP/USD setup I took using this strategy...either beginners luck or we have a goldmine on our shoulders.
