lol... somebody on FF has accumulated almost +20bucks of EUR
the 1.40 crowd needs to have a reality check, it's easy to have 20 big figures of fluctuations before you get the final 2 big figures from 1.38 to 1.40. Unless you're prepared to take 3:1 risk/reward, forget about it.
it is probably true that the more consecutive times it gets to 1.38 and fails to hit 1.40 the more likely that "this time will finally be the time", so admittedly if we somehow trip up near 1.38 again i will probably go long but hell no right here. especially with the broken trend structure and a few more overleveraged monkeys who are still trying to buy dips atm.
doing nothing here, probably offer at 1.3685ish for now, but will have to see how the price action develops. another point is 2014 could be a year for +gbp/chf, -eur/gbp so just forget 1.40 haha. it's so not worth it unless you have a 1.32 cost basis and are holding very long term.

Does anyone know if Big Ben is streaming his speech? It says on the federal reserve stream the event is over.

well.. here's what I'm thinking.. nobody can tell where it's going for sure.. I can't, and you can't.. no price is too low or too high...was it rejected up there? yeah... maybe, but the most important thing is this.. if you only now realize that, you are already too late... if not, then more power to you, but remember how many got dragged from 2750, and up to here, for more than half of last year... be slow to change.. but not that slow.. that's all I have to say about that..

from where I sit I see a range broken to the downside with a stretched move.. this is not how you break support imo.. in order to break support troops have to be behind you, and ground has to be won and secured.. I don't think it's the case here.. Am I right? I have no idea, only time will tell.. When moves like these happen there are 2 possibilities.. one is something fundamental changed, and I don't see anything like that around (yeah, the tapering and stuff but that has become a wild card at this point, as they can or can not continue to do so, all depending).. and second it's just a technical move within the higher trend and bulls are lurking on every low.. so anyway, for a healthy move down it has to retrace and get more sellers, the sellers that were left behind.. until we have a LH, it's still not a done deal (and that will be confirmed only when this new swing low is taken again, kind of a pain in the ass, but that's how it goes).. and that 3800-3900.. I don't think it's IT given when they happened... besides, there was no swing low between 3900 and that little blip back to 3800..I guess we'll see..

I guess no one can watch it. Maybe because he wants to tell the truth to the public but the Feds wont let him, so they don't want it live in case he goes off course.

agreed... i don't think it's necessarily stupid to buy here if you're super low levered (at 1.36, the R/R is roughly 1:1). i'm just particularly skeptical on the 20buck long whoever is holding it. i used to trade FX at a large bank, the experience was always the worst in the 10mm-30mm range with a 1-2% stop for both desk and clients. for an institution, either you put on a very large size (100mm+ ), be able to weather 2-3% drawdowns, or you do small sizes (<5mm) tactically. anything in the middle and you're now big enough to cause some of the medium-term algos to trade against you but small enough such that the market makers/hedge funds can absorb the risk easily (meaning, bias to get stopped out).

and yes, also agree that i don't necessarily think the sellers are in full control here on lower-freq TF but on higher-freq TF as long as we are below the red line the sellers are in control. we also aren't sufficiently close to or sufficiently below the red line for me to consider a scalp. i'm out, happy friday
