Can we say that 30M is the best timeframe for this style of trading?

Well it's a fractal pattern so you can find it everywhere, M1 to 1M.

Not sure what you mean by the best, can you quantify that?

I find the 30m tf easier 'visually' to find the pattern on but that's about it, and it fit's on my screen. I could take a screenshot of the same pattern in 5M, 15M, Hourly, it wouldn't make any difference, but maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

Yes these are all winners but the GBPUSD short is really a no-brainer at that old swing high, the other pairs are all ranging which is the prefered market condition and often gives these great opportunities.

There have been and will always be losses, that just has to be excepted.

This was my first up and under. I got long at 1 and 2. It turns out 3 was the call. Was wondering what your thoughts were Quidsey...would you have bought 1, 2, or 3. If only 3, how would you know not to buy 1 and or 2.

Technically I would have been looking to trade 1 but I never trade this pair so I've no idea how it moves, I stick to the majors.

1) Why you do not trade anything but the majors when these patterns are fractal?

2) Is that Ninja you are using and if so how do I get those price tabs on the horizontal lines? lol

1- I don't think the two are linked in that way, I don't trade exotics because I don't need to, and I think looking at less and understanding more is better than the contraire.

2- No it's the CTrader platform, I use FXPro brokerage.

Remember guys, don't fall into the trap, this thread is about the pattern not me. Create your own trading world don't try and copy me, prove it to yourself, it's all that counts.

Demo it, use sell/buy orders and see what happens and then try to get better at it, that's what I'm doing.

No guru here.

Quidsey, you know I got a piece of that AU trade (not enough though, I need to start letting these run a little more I think)

I had a loss on a short on UC but the AU trade covered it. I should have gone long on the pullback to the broken level it appears.

Looking at EU, two areas below price to potentially get long but these are not the best set-ups in my view. A flip trade short looks promising if it comes back to that level and even a long if price breaks back through.

Just to give a recent example of when the level I want to short/buy isn't 100% clear, the NZDUSD. You sometimes get these small zones to deal with.

Also a great example to show a smaller UUP within a larger one and how one leads into the other, this pair is on UUP steroids, perfect market conditions.

Also down under the Aussie gives a good example of a "flip level", a busted UUP level that can be used again in the opposite direction.
