Do the math.

From where the 20 EMA crossed above the 200EMA, the price was 1.36918. The top of the chart was 1.38924.

i think you still can scalp some pips with 20 ema crosses 200 ema. but for 200 pips, that depends on what time frame you are working on.

the market movers do not bring the price up to trigger stops, the market is too large.

Ask your self this question: if you were a large operator and you wanted to make the market move sufficiently for you to take a fat profit out of the market and know that you could liquidate easily at a higher level than where the market now is because of the stops bunched there, how would you engineer such a move?

OK, now I am under the impression, that you look at some arbitrary historical data to make your claim?

BTW: at what TF are we lokking for 20/200 cross to expect to the pip 100 and 200 movements?

it is not that difficult. There are short time scalpers and long time position traders all the time. The short time scalpers (some very large) have tight stops, and will flip their positions when their stops get hit. The market usually consilidates in a small range before it breaks the range in a thrust and trigger the tight stops. That is why it usually burst through the boundary of a small range. When it burst into another small range, it consolidates agian in that small range for a while before it bursts into antoher small range. It does this continuosly until it meet the wider stops at significant levels. Those stops are in large quantities, when some of them get trigered, price will jump and spike, and in turn trigger other stops further away. A chain reaction then happens and you will see a huge spike.
