Once I entered trade manually with sl, I use trade manager with jsl of 30 with close on synergy color change. I try to check tdi every 4h to take a call on exit if possible as I am part time trader. Like in this trade synergy candle is blue but tdi has crossed when I have seen tdi so I exited.

Thanks for your reply and explanation. If you use candle color to exit, would you wait for Candle to complete in 4h or exit at the first indication of color change?

If I am away from my computer then trade manager would manage it and exit would be JSL hit or candle color change at the end of 4h. Like in this trade if I would not be at my computer then trade manager would have closed trade with 60pips(JSL hit). But if I am at computer then I pay close attention to tdi.

Thanks Manoj. Are you using the trade manager on post#28227? Do you copy the trade manager in Indicators or scripts folder? I think afterwards its only drag and drop on open position. I am also using H4 candles as described by Big E. My entry is mostly on TDI once price reach the high or low of the setup candles.

Thanks for this long response. I am still trying to learn this system.
But i have to say, that i don´t understand your reasons for entries and exits in this countertrend trade. Perhaps it´s because of my bad understanding of English. I don´t know.

I upload a chart for you in real candlesticks, where i marked what i understood in your post. The market was ranging, but it made a big move long. And on the reverse you went in.

Perhaps you can download this chart and draw your reasons in it, so perhaps then i will get it.

Yes I use this trade manager mentioned in post 28227. This has to put in expert folder as this is ea. Once I open position manually I drag this ea to chart in which I have opened position as this ea has limitation of trading one pair at a time.

Hi FX94,

I did not take this entry because it was very late in the week (possibly a Friday, or even the weekend which I do not have access to trading through my broker.

If this entry had occurred earlier in the week I would have taken it.

I entered on the retrace yes and yes it was countertrend.

My entry reasons - TDI cross between 4-6, TDI was also coming from way above 68 so strongly overbought and also slight divergence; price was also reversing from 142.00 RN, and also based on deep retracements of other Yen crosses of previous week I was (semi-)confident EY would have a similarly deep retracement.

Spent a lot of time developing this so It can be simple to follow, what has he told us:

4hr trades at night. I check for set ups at 10pm Pacific,2am and close all 4 hour trades by 6am Pacific....

I post a lot of training charts to drive it into your brains what to look for and how easy it can be... Just open your eyes, brain and pay attention and you'll be making pips soon...




Entries and exits...

We Enter a trade when green crosses red on the TDI at the beginning of that candle... If it's candle 3 or more don't enter... find another trade set up. The only exception is if green bounces off red and continues... it's ok to re-enter on the bounce...

Exit your trade when the green TDI line goes flat, starts to hook over or makes a check mark reversal.

If you add other things it will influence your decisions... usually to your detrament. Don't try to complicate it thinking it can't be this easy.

Important to study TDI entries on old charts, any time frame... Give yourself a chance and trade it like it's layed out...]

Dear Padila,

Monitoring of H4 trade

I have put below indicator with push notification on vps server. Which gives me real time push notification once cross happen. Then I take a look of chart from android phone to vps server.

I also use MACD(2,13,7) on 4h candle stick which almost mimic tdi. This will help me to check for set up at every 4h.

Once I get in, I manage trade as mentioned in post 28231.

I use 5 star rating as below to get best setup.

 

  1. TDI cross @ 1st and 2nd candle of PA 0.5 star

  1. TDI angle more than 3.5(convincing which is subjective and may get feeling with experience) 0.5 star

  1. PA size 21 to 65 0.5 star

  1. Europe Session(11.30 close to 3.30 close gmt+5.30 ) 1 star

  1. With Trend 1 star

  1. No frieday wth light event and month closing 1 star

  1. No Near Support and Resistance 0.5 star

Once I get 5star setup as mentioned above I get in. Some time I do take trade if Support and Resistance is near but I have a feeling that this area will be broken but not compromising on other parameter as mentioned above.

What do you mean by 'PA size 21 to 65'?

I mean to say synergy candle size (21pips to 65 pips) by difference of synergy open and close. This is being shown by tdi indicator.

Thanks for your feedback Bizzzle.. I have been reading this thread very closely and already covered eelfranz's replies at least twice along with yours and phx62 charts. The issue is i think the 4H candle open at 1AM EST with my broker and its mostly European Session. By the time LO at 3AM Market reverse the direction. My understanding is from PHx62 charts that even 4H candle open at 1AM we should monitor the TDI entry at 1H charts by 3AM LO. Thanks again for all your assistance for new traders and the ones like me still struggling with this simple system and hoping some day we will be at your level teaching fellow traders.

I have tried to read this thread from the beginning - but with over 1400 pages it is daunting! So thank you very much for the pdf. Will be reading it very soon.

I do have a question and would be grateful if you are able to clarify. It refers to the above quote. I've not been able so far, to find a clear answer.

Big E traded on the 4 hour and 1 hr. When he referred to 'the beginning of that candle' and the TDI crossing over, does he mean the current candle? I.e. unlike conventional wisdom which requires one to wait until the close of the candle of the time frame one is looking at. So for instance with a H4 TF, to take the entry on the 1st H1 candle but ignore and TDI crosses if it happens on the 3rd or 4th H1 candle.
