Good trade, with what looks like a double top and the daily turning down, nice divergence on the daily as well.

Hey I was hoping to upload a SET file for my EA, but FF says it does not support uploading this type of file.

Does anyone know how I can get around this?

I am hoping someone can help me out as to why my EA does not seem to be managing my trades like I have input in to the EA options. In fact, the EA doesn't seem to be doing anything when it is switched on. And when I switch between different profiles/screens it is like it resets itself and does not manage the trades open in the pairs I specified for it to manage.

The EA is MPTM, and I have read through the pdf instructions and as far as I can make out I have input my choices correctly, it just doesn't seem to work when I put on a chart when a trade is open.

Hey,

My trades for the week. The most successful week I have had thus far in trading this system.

I think the switch to H4 trading and managing it on H1 charts has been a great move for me personally. Seems to have forced me to be much more patient both entering and exiting trades. And also gives plenty of time between candles for planning, checking, etc.

Hi,

Wonderful trades, congratulations !

I have a question for the EUR / JPY trade. I took the same trade, but when you exited i entered. So my trade was a looser. Obviously this was a countertrend trade. Why did you enter on the first red candle ? What were you reasons ?

Can you also please tell me how you "manage" the process of your trade ? When you go away from the computer, do you have a mobile device to control the trade or do you use an EA ?

Can someone please tell me how to install the yellow line in the tdi indicator ? Because I am changing now my template for the original TDI template. The original TMS template doesn´t contain the yellow line in the TDI indicator.

Best regards,

Fx94

Hi Fx94,

I entered on 1st red CS on EY because previous week EY had been ranging/consolidating. Other Yen crosses which I follow (GY, UY, AY), some of them had quite deep retracements the beginning of the previous week so I knew if there was a good set up with TDI cross at a R zone (this occurred at 142.00 which is a round number), then I thought I would enter on it to catch the (hopefully deep) retracement like the other yen crosses had the prior week. I knew it was countertrend, but just based on previous weeks PA (EY ranging, and other crosses having pretty big moves up and down), I figured there would be a good chance EY would, I only had a smaller TP because it was countertrend. I went for the middle of the long term Guppy MMAs as the TP as other Yen crosses had also hit them and reversed upwards from there prior week. I also checked the H1 chart and price had made a LL and moved strongly below the 10 MA I have on the H1 chart. All 4 HA H1 candles were red, although real price CS showed 2nd hour had a retracement giving the LH. The trades were all taken based on H4 chart action, and H1 chart I used to manage. While price was making LH/LL on H1 chart I stayed in the trade. Which when I was trading H1 charts I had a real problem doing to be honest. Managing H1 trades using 15M chart was just too much I found (my personal preference at the moment obviously), between working and life etc I just didnt have the time to do it and only having 15M between CS to make a decision for a novice it wasn't enough. I should also mention I entered on TDI crosses not at beginning of each CS, I wait until 5 minites before CS is going to close, watch it for that 5 minutes, I consider it a TDI cross if green crosses red at the every close of that current CS (as in 1/2 minutes before close), rather than waiting for the next CS to open for the cross. It seems to filter out some of the more 'dubious' trades this way. Just my opinion, and I stand to be corrected by the experts here!

So..why did you enter a trade just as I exited? That seems extremely late to the party to me? Were you entering on H1 or H4?

Managing my trades at this moment are done manually. I am trying to get a EA set up but am having some trouble getting it to stay 'on' and mange for me for some reason. I posted about it just above a few hours ago. Ideally I would like to use the EA with a JSL of 50 pip when I am away from my computer. I would leave my computer on if I can get that working. Otherwise I have an Android version of MT4 on my phone which if I am really stuck I can use to manage trades manually. I never enter using my mobile, just to check on already open trades, and I can exit using them if need be depending on what i see on charts, although it is rare as I usually have time to quickly flick on MT4 on computer every hour.

To bring up the yellow MBL -

Open up your Indicator Window by holding CTRL & I together.
Double click on your TDI Red Green (or whatever TDI your are using)
On the tabs at the top of the little window which opens up, click "Colors"
You should see different colors from 0-5, click on 2
When you double click at the end of the 2nd column with the colour name in it, a little arrow should appear which is the drop down menu with all the colours and you can pick which ever colour you want
Click OK, then close the Indicator Window..
Done!

I renamed the file from .set to .txt only to upload to FF, as .set files are unable to be uploaded to FF.

When I applied the .set file to the EA, I specified for it to manage 3 pairs all of which I already had trades open on at that time. I then checked the "Allow Live Trading" box and, clicked the Expert Advisors button at the top. I then had a smiley face at that time on top left of chart screen, whcuh made me think it was fine. But when I switched to another profile to view other 2 pairs I had trades on and that I told it to manage, the Expert Advisors button became un-checked by itself. And when I went back to the pair whose chart I actually attached it to it was also unchecked and there was no longer the smiley face.

How should the chart change when an EA is applied? Is ther anything noticeable to tell if it is working or not before it actually hits a 50 pip for the JSL?

I want it to manage specified pairs - AudYen, GbpYen, EurYen, UsdYen, which I et to true and entered those 4 pairs
BreakEvenSettings - True,
Break Even Pips - 50 Not sure about this?
Break Even profit - 2

JSL - True
Jumping stop pips - 50
Add BEP - 50
Jump After Break even only - true

Trailing stop loss - false

ITSL - false

MSLA - true
missing stop loss pips - 50

MTPA
Add missing take profit - true
missing take profit pips - 150

Everything else is set to false

I am hoping that this would wait until trade is +50 pips, then move JSL every 50 pips of movement. That's really all I am looking for at the moment.

Attached Setting of expert advisors in tools/option will help you to keep ea as it is while changing the chart.

Attached setting for ea will put jumping stop of 50 pips once price move in favor. Once price move 50 pips in favor it put jumping stop loss at order price and again move stop loss to orderprice+50 pips if price move more 50 pips in favor. same will be continued. Please try in demo first. shows that ea is active.

Thanks for that EA setting. But how do I change it back from .txt to a .set file again? I right clicked and changed name to .set, but it still seems like its being recognised as a .txt file and is not showing up in MT4 when I try to load it from the MPTM input window?
