well decades ago "surplus" was "exported" to the industrialized world......not so easy now...nowhere to go...i guess we as people are slowly painting ourselves into a corner.... more population more growth...??? not panning out that well anymore....printing bills is just a band-aide to a deeper problem...

I used to live and set up plants in the third world among other places... sm countries could only feed 1/3 of their populations w/o UN and world aid...and that was a couple of decades ago.....they were doomed then and I don't even want to imagine hw bad it must be now....certainly not better since nothing changed in the meantime ..I'm sure they still have "growth" but exporting it to where ??? go figure...

The growth of 3rd world countries is being exported to Swiss bank accounts owned by family and friends of the politicians.

Population, naturally tends to grow "geometrically," or, as we would now say, exponentially. In a finite world this means that the per-capita share of the world's goods must decrease. Is ours a finite world?

and for ur assessment above...that IS unfortunately the case in many instances...since the wealthy have no trust into their own country...they wont invest their own moneys in many instances and use OPM (Other Peoples Money) aka Foreign Aid to build some and "milk" a lot....and the loot ends up where it came from in the first place...unfortunately to the taxpayers expense in the developed world......what a racket....

in the meantime I try to mk sm money off the market but like to have another rally to c hw far it goes and maybe sell sm mo...

If it wasn't for inflation, you could say it is a finite world we live in... economically anyway.
Unfortunately inflation is created with debt and with debt comes interest. So in the end it's just another zero sum game... or better known as "The great Ponzi scheme", and it's been that way since 1904 1913.
