Going to try a short here. Trend is down on daily and setup is nice on small charts (see attached chart).

Good luck, I was stopped by half a pip and don't want to double down. Nothing but noise up in here, but I do see the larger trend is down. Could be a big one for you

All of them do because they associate China with Australia. Growth by association. Economists are horrible. Even some posters here have tried to argue they are when the best thing they have is the bubble they call the housing market.

It's a joke. It is the reason it fell from 1.0597 and the reason it won't see those levels for a long, long, long, long time

I don't see it reaching 0.9200 also for this year. it may still make a new low. if chinese data is horrible it may fall hard

The major mining companies are cutting investment, investment in new ventures is down. The car industry is in an mess. All leads to more unemployment.
We are an export driven economy, not good in the short term.
But who knows, after the drop down and then race back up on Friday anything is possible.

I agree. The divergence in the Aussie and the economy is why I shorted at the high in April. The signs were there and they haven't improved. The sad thing is they rely so much on China, so there are two things to think about:

1) Australia cannot even growth while its largest trade partner grows, thus it's organic growth it lacks
2) China is fudging numbers again

I think more of the first with a little of the latter.

With the way AU contorts the unemployment numbers, Its a tall ask to think an immigrant lead resurgence will save us.

Well I think the growth should have been spread around while the growth boom was undergone. Benefit from the mining investment and spread the proceeds, then again no one thinks of bad stuff until bad stuff happens

AUD/USD couldnt brake 0.9100 level, so I am bullish for next 2 weeks

open buy position at 0.9104 now

With the multiple support touch, a reversal seems likely possible to the upside. Convincing chart patterns above 0.9150 could provide excellent opportunities for some long trade setups.
Neutral at the moment.
