Good day,

Mentioned these levels a few days ago as obvious targets. Will 1.3742 hold as resistance? Do not think so - stops a little higher up. If becomes support, we could target 1.3802

all the best

{quote} Davit, I couldn't disagree with you more. You, I, and probably Darkforce too all know that us little retail guys have essentially no influence on the price. And if you truly believe this, then please remind me never to listen to you. Anyway, just thought I'd share... here's what got me into the trade in the first place: {image}

True that retail traders provide liquidity but that's small like 6%
I just have not found legit stats to prove that market moves opposite of retail trader positions most of the times.If that's the case it would be easy just using Oanda positions as a "guide" I suspect case is more like 50/50.
Again I have not found evidence that market moves in direction against retail by default.

I did an unscientific survey of the positions list by FF over several months, comparing their rate of success with that of fixed positions and found continuously that a the fixed positions (eg. always buy or always sell) seemed to do better. I stopped because I found it boring after a while ( I am no scientist).

Even so I track both those positions and the ones at Oanda - I don't know- I find them interesting.

I find that when they and I agree, a lot of money is often made. How about you?

I just think simply fading retail majority positions does not work because they are correct as well.
I bet if you look at last recent high of 1.38 and look at retail positions you would find majority of retail were short and correctly!
So theory fading retail to me does not work.The only thing I find true that retail traders often go either short or long too early.
In trading, you have to be defensive and aggressive at the same time

No, it does not work.
what works is cross market money flow.
retail is too small fraction of the market. big guys do not make much money from small guys.
