Everybody is saying that NPF number will be positive. Im little worried about that. You guys all know what happens to heard of sheep. So i bet it will be negative and EUR and GBP will take out shorts all over the place. The problem is im short both of those pairs. Still deciding what to do before the release.

Then, put your SL in cases NFP doesn't meet expectations. Accept it as part of your trades
I have AUD short too, we are expecting USD bullish on NFP data.

Usually, I will put buy stop and sell stop 1 minutes before high impact news. High probability to get profit.

well except cyprus they say. and maybe Greece and another hadfull.

In real accounts many brokers doesn't accept buy stop or sell stop in these situations. and many other doesn't guarantee stop loss orders!

which broker you work with?

I don't know about other brokers, but Oanda honor the stoplose during market times ... in case of a price plunge they will execute ur stoplose!

My broker is Masterforex, 1 minute before news is acceptable. But, they don't guarantee the gap caused during high volatility.

I booked profit on NFP last month, ECB rate decision, and FOMC. All of those within 1 hour.

I'm not doing this now. I have experience on a gap. I put buy stop GBP @1.5904 and the order placed @1.5934 (30 pips gap)
At high volatility situations, those gap made me panic.

Lesson learned : No regret.
If I hadn't panic. I will have 500 pips this week

It will be honored as well ... one time i had a stoplose 8 pips and priced plunged in few seconds 80 pips , they executed the stoplose at 12 pips ! This also goes for take profits , but i'm not sure how pending buy sell orders will be executed. In any case, i think each and every broker must declare his execution policy during / off market times. Any decent broker will have a policy for during market time and off markets.

Doesn't look very promising for USDCHF atm.
May indicate much lower prices (higher for EU) or will it reverse sharply today.... Indicators are oversold but not diverging.

IMO, we don't need to put stop loss, since we put both pending buy and sell at the same size.
Then acceptable loss is the gap between orders. Loss only happen if both order are executed.

Minimize the gap by put order 1 minute before the news.

From my experience, this thing will work perfectly on high volatile news.
We should do research on historical chart, ATR, and how many pips moved after the news. My TP is between 30-80 pips.

If you want higher probability, 30 pips will done within a minute

Lesson learned : don't put order if the market hasn't sideway on H1
