I know it is easy to be cynical about projections and forecasts, more so when they come from banks or other 'trading institutions', but here from the FF news threads is a short article with views on currency movements for the next year.

Of particular interest are opinions about what the Central Banks might do, and what some of their constraints are.
All of which continues to support a long-term view that UJ is bullish.
Q1 of next year should see the start of Abe's stimulus intended to soften the hike in sales tax in Japan.
Any time soon we are expecting tapering of the US QE program, which will drive the dollar, and Friday's NFP could focus that possibility.

For the past 2 days, UJ is hitting lower low.....is this the sign of an upcoming major retracement to 100?

PA at H1 is close to crossing down 200MA. NFP could be the savior or a drop anchor to the south.

I got out of my shorts at around 101.90 for a small profit. Good riddance. The fact that it didn't test the previous high of 103.70 tells me that it is more likely to go back up. Not taking a long here because there's more room for a correction on the downside. I will watch what it does. The Aussie looks more interesting at the moment. I lost money on the Aussie this year. Time to make that money back!

PA has gone below 200MA at H1. Any adverse US data today and tomorrow NFP will trigger a drop to 100.

The YEN tends to drop the ball when its above the 100

Thought they were going to give it a real nudge this time

There was a lot talk about 105

Don't despair....tapering will boost UJ up if it did happen.

For it to happen, they need to release positive data starting with unemployment and NFP.

101.20-30 area may be a good buy area if that count proves valid.

2 hours 'till USD prelim GDP and unemployment claims. Last 4hr candle looks good and shows me traders are positioning longer under/at 102. When the data hits I think you could see brief spike down, but by 9:00 New York time when current 4hr candle closes, we will be above 102.20.
