Pretty great trading, I see you added pivots, are those weekly? How well do they work? I've found pivots become obsolete, just clutter my chart, ever since I started trading on H1 exclusively...

4 hour Trades update:

Still long and have added to my Eu and Gu on pull back.

As you all must know now I still have a bullish bias.

Eu- Hit the 38.6 fib but could close below so I added a position.

Gu- Also hit 38.6 fib and couldnt close below, so I added another position long.

Still holding EJ and GJ longs.

To be honest I can't really decide, I keep putting them on and then taking them off again At the moment I just have the actual daily, weekly and monthly pivot lines, not r1 r2 etc I find there are too many lines, I think even they will become obsolete though.

I know what you mean, haha... Old habits die hard, right? I've been used to pivots ever since I went live, and I had a very tough time removing them... But really, the only use I saw was when I was trading M15.... I would never take a trade if we're at R3 or S3, because price almost never goes thru those levels. It has kept me out of a few bad setups, when a pair moved during the Asian session and LO provided what seemed to be a re-entry opportunity at the time.

I tend to use the ATR projection now for that type of thing, so going to make a command decision and take them off and leave them off

I just use this atr projection indicator which is pretty accurate most of the time. The first line is 80% of the projection and the second line is 100%. You might need to change the colours it uses if you have a black chart.

Can i ask @emmanuel, from TMS point of view how you personally determine trend (as you did with eurjpy)? i know the basic TMS stuff but considering i am far from finishing the whole thread (im around page 100 or so ) i thought id just ask. Trading imo should be as easy as determining higher TF trend + avoid ranging markets + clear entry (in this case TDI). I am looking forward to discover why this thread is 1300pages long.
