{quote} I got ya, you were talking about that big boyz using bearish data to fake a bull move to trap some bulls before they can drop right? 100% agree.

Yeah, it happens a lot. They just magically know what the numbers are going to be and they play the majority of retailers like a fiddle. Like I said I'm not certain that's what happened but I think so. We'll have to see what happens when price regains some momo.

Lack thereof is bothering me a little right now.

It dropped heavily for the next week after the rate cut and other fundy events that day. After that we had the move back up though.

That kind of move reminds me the days where GBP has a lot of bad news, and price kept going higher...until it dropped 1k pips in a month

It was in April/May 2012

{quote} Yeah, with false prophecies and all. It's impossible not to laugh by the comments about price going to heaven or hell given by a sudden 25 pip move lol

I've said this before. It's not about how many pip movements is made, but rather the levels it has come from and the levels it has just crossed or not crossed, the way it moved and whether the move was expected etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc..........

There's no magic involved. They pre-agree with the news giver what the numbers should be. Then they prepositions themselves ahead of time, sometimes even days ahead.

There is a problem at 1.35695. in 30mins we should know what it is all about! long term, bulls are still in control but, let us watch that number within the next 4hr bar - mine comes in about 30mins, from now.

You know I'm not much into conspiracies. But this happens so often that you see large amounts of money being positioned in the market ahead of major news and you can feel pretty confident entering with them ahead of the fundy release. More often than not they were in the right direction. Not always, but frequently.

After the rate cut it fell for almost a week on the daily charts. I know because I was holding it via proxy on CHF. The thing is though, you don't know what you're doing, that's why you're frustrated. If you have a live account, withdraw your funds and do demo trading. Do more research at the same time, you have a lot to learn still. Not that I'm a guru, but I have my footing.

i agree..
throughout my years of studies and research, and demo trading
i build up my skills and confidence,

but then, once i start live,
everything i learn seems like not working anymore.
so i have stop using my live account for sometimes already
now back to demo trading.. and more study and research

the time component to trading. The market just doesn't move because there is some funny news out there. Remember that most traders - the big ones - trade forex solely for hedging purposes. Furthermore, since there are forex-options, time is very important!!! Forget that and you will lose money
