this someone/something is japanese reserves in foreing currencies, they sell it and buy their fresh print yen,
but usa and europe sooner or later they don't allow japan to manipulate
when? my confidense is this week, could be wrong
but if not i will catch the train to the south and i can wait many months for 1000 pips more profit < 128

another scenario in my mind is that a big sell of is coming on eur/usd (1,28-1,31) cause of ECB cut rates, and of course no taper from fed this december,
triggering another big shell of on usd/jpy so Fed allows UJ to go higher and higher so after big sell of can't go down under 95-98 area
japanese can afford it there, but not lower
we will see

2 months later maybe 1000 pip loss if short here... given uptrend isn't that more likely? cheers.

although I must say the rejection from previous high favours the immediate scenario of a double top and drop to 138.0 retest previous resistance as support..

long at 138 target 140 should be decent trade, but ofcourse if price breaks 137.1 in 2-3 consecutive large 4H candles, then likely more downside to be seen, at which point shorting could be good idea on a retrace.

There's strong support here at 138.650, many sellers that got trapped previously by the up move are getting out there. If that level breaks, then downtrend should be confirmed. If it holds, we could see much higher once london opens.

If I were to make a guess, it'd be that it breaks - get ready for good possibility of a strong move down in 15 minutes...

This is because in the monthly chart, this pair is trying to retrace from 2007 high(168.77) to 61.8% retracement level 139.18 before going down 1000 pips as the forum ppl said

I'm trapped @138.45, wishing for a correction to 138 or even more lower. 139.20 is the highest point back in 2009, which will not be broken at once possibly. Anyway, this is yen we are talking about, all the global are crazy for selling it, never to be too careful about it.

The more important currency pair now is USD/JPY which is trading at the WEEKLY 3rd standard deviation. The last time that USD/JPY traded at 3rd standarde deviation was during financial crisis 2008 after the collapse of Lehman. USD/JPY bounced back to 2nd standard deviation which is 101.50 now.

101.50 should translate in EUR/JPY =136.75.

Letīs see. Maybe finally someone from G10 countries will label Japan as "currency manipulating country". Actually Japan is doing NOTHING to change their economy structural. Their whole economic recovery is based on currency devaluation.

Wages/Salaries are not rising in Japan. There are no new laws in place that would create more jobs and economic activity. People are not spending more money.

Actually, the whole QE printing has only ONE MEANING: it makes Japanīs exports cheaper!!!!! Thatīs it! Only exporters are profiting from QE!

Itīs a shame!
