What New rate cut are you presuming it to be? And sources please.

Rate cut on interest rate don't happen every day, they can discuss on it, but the actual requires the event and data release.

so that's sometime away.

much retailers now short at this level.

that is exactly my point.
Most traded currency by value (on 100% scale):
USD, 42.5%
Euro, 19.5%
Australia Dollar 3.8%.

The amount of USD and Euro traded both dwarf Australia dollar. USD also dwarf Euro. Australia dollar is not going to move E/U that much. E/A is a by-product of E/U and A/U.

I'm not much of a news trader but anyone else thinking if positive gbp news will break weekly TL from 14.8.11 and potentially be 100+ pip move?

Why don't you make it easy and say at 09:59:59 am GMT watch close price and if it is below 1.3575 its is bearish or if it is above 1.3575 it is bullish.
It is obvious that you use daily rollover as your new day start which is 17 pm NY times ( or 10 pm GMT).

Using phrase like

USDX is a good baseline reference but may be skewed at times..

Didn't I say so? I don't see any reason to buy euro after a big drop that broke trend line even after consistently bad news coming from eurozone. On the other hand US GDP, NFP was much stronger. Isn't it odd?
It's ok if the fight between sovereign buyers and leveraged sellers.
