This bear has been hibernating for a while, but now is opening one sleepy eye. News events in twenty minutes, now. What are they going to say, and how are the markets going to act to them? Both questions should be considered. The real value of news events happens when they surprise, then we watch the markets. Sometimes they ignore the surprise, even move against it. Sentiment is very strong the other way. Sometimes the market acts like it just needed the excuse to fall like a rock, soar like a jet. Here it has revealed its true colors.

What happens to the volumes (tell you you have an eye on the volumes!)? How much does the spread increase and for how long? View all with suspicion and ruminate. Make a decision, monitor the results, and reflect on them.
