Hey guys, for tonight what are your thoughts on the eur.jpy.h1?
For this chart I see a Master Candle(blue box) engulfing three candles frankfurt and currently london. If it breaks out, I would be tempted to enter. However, I also remember that London Hi low needs to be set. Looking at other indicators I see that entering on the breakout of MC alone is insufficient reason. The tdi has not crossed, let alone above the MBL. There has also been a succession of blue candles.

any advice appreciated
edit* upon typing this out, I have entered a trade to see if the breakout of MC at london open will be enough to reach tp( set at resistance near 135.33)

currently a pullback if forming and I have exited my long at BE. I see a potential short tonight with pullback formed at (london daily high). Tdi might retrace from MBL. The mini bullish move during asian coming to an end. Waiting for a cross or break of pullback low to confirm.

Any advice appreciated

edit* price has broke past. Not at my ideal time. Wouldve liked a pullback candle. Short has been triggered at .86 TP target at Daily low/bottom formed during asian session. Sl 15 pips

yesterday was a bearish D candle.
the H1 move can be a Fib38/50 type of entry for sell.
the historical S&R in play this week, and we need to see how deep the retracement will be.

Hello emmanuel.

I have decided to set my trade at BE. The movement of the candle is not something that I can read price action off of. Instead of Hoping it will go my way, I will leave my trade and see what happens tonight and remember whena similar situation occurs again

That recent S&R is holding well. We need a stimulus for sellers to jump in to break this 134.75.

Yes still holding this level strongly even after ZEW !

Do you close the trade in early US open as suggested by Big E?

If no then what TP should be kept for this current trade. I have currently kept 133.730 as TP based on ADR pro calculator. I have also kept ea with jumping stop loss of 30pips.

Please give your suggestions.

I am really new to trading and just came across this thread few days ago.
I really like the idea of eelfranz to place trade and go to bed then close them when wake up.
I am testing in demo account and it come out good. But I wonder at what value to set SL and TP level.
Any suggestion?

Hi Manoj,

This is a retracement trade - retracement of last week low -high.

Right now, facing NY open in abut 40mins and not looking the best.

My first TP planned is 134.37 region and final TP 133.30 ca. 60% of the weekly range.

I set my JSL set to 40pips.

Hello all, i made a trade with NZD/JPY last night, though it was quite slow moving, so i will exit since i cannot manage my trade at work. MBL was near 32 level, and green and red crossed over mbl, along with PA showing the bulls. Exited with +22 pips. I hate when i cannot manage my trade during regular work hours. Would you consider this a good TMS trade?

My SL hit@ 135.20. Now thinking to focus on AUDUSD,EURUSD and GBPUSD pair to build confidence. Tomorrow, there is red event for gbp and hope to get good trade setup at 3.30 Pm(GMT+5.30)(4h candle close) after gdp and inflation report.

Actually, if you follow a link back to Big E's profile it shows you there what the difference is to your time as set in FF.
I just thought of that, 'didn't need maths at all.

One ej trade in US session, H1 showed a nice upcross and recross close to
MBL, price seemed to find support at previous day low,
NY open candle run away quickly and was over 30 pips in size.
After it closed I waited for price to come back to RN 135 to get a better entry (ej loves RN's, btw)
I moved down to M5 and waited and finally entered and of course after my entry price went down exactly to 135.
I closed the trade manually for 33 pips close to 135.50 at previous month high

i have a nice scap trade in h4 basic rule +17 pip
1/ up trend
2/green cross red
3/synery bar is blue, stoch confirmed
4/grean cross the blue band and turn back in original trend ( x- man rule)
i cut it because of my plan and i see price near yesterday high and near ressistant, now my local time is 0h, i have to go to bed.bye for now

Baseline

Hi fellow traders,

I have a rather simple question (I think) concerning the baseline which is part of the TDI indi. Since my platform does not provide this indicator, I have to compose it by myself by pulling the components together.

The RSI and Bollinger Bands are rather clear and simple to me to throw in, but then there is this Baseline. It seems to be a Moving Average type.

My question is,

  1. if so, what type of MA, and more important,
  2. what period (setting) does it have?

I can't figure this out. Thanks a bunch before,

GU and GJ my half position out at breakeven and re-entered.

Added to my other 4 trades, I am still bullish all pairs so added on pullback and PA.
