I can't help you but I do know that the TDI is made up of Boll. Bands, RSI, etc. Somewhere in this forum, but not necessarily in this thread, the individual settings are listed. I know that this isn't much help but maybe you can search for it.

Hi mlfund, I use IG and their ProRealTime charts and have put the TDI on my charts, not perfect but maybe good enough. I'll post the same EJ H1 chart from IG and Metatrader so you can compare, see attachments below.

I took one H1 trade on ej today. Closed it for 34 pips, as it was getting late in the US session.
TDI crossed , re -crossed, and bounced off MBL line with red nicely sloping up
while PA made HH and HL.

Thursday/Friday trades....
EJ H1.....London trade on Thursday based on double top and a TDI signal to enter short. I set my SL just above the double top in case news would push price up. News pushed price strongly down...moved my TP & SL during the trade. 2nd trade.....taken short on a break below consolidation. Again moved SL & TP as the trade progressed. No good signal on EJ H1 on Friday...MBL above green and red @ LO. Did not enter on bounce @ NYO due to pending Non Farm payroll news.

GU H1.....nice ADR for the last two weeks so I decided to trade some GU.....LO on Thursday created double top....entered on cross of TDI at open of 2nd candle....price didn't move much for a couple of hours then moved down on GBP news. Friday....entered short trade after NFP news release moved down and then pulled back. Price action entry on a move down after the NFP candle was completed. Price continued down to TP. Many times price will pull back following big news releases and then continue in the direction that news moved it.

bigpips.....your loser could have been a winner if you had given the trade some room to breathe. In my opinion, the SL was too close to your entry. The flow of the market often takes out SL's when they are too close. Price had created a consolidation area and the TDI gave a good short signal. Sometimes we just need to trust what you see........Regards

You are 100%! My thinking was to keep Stop just above high of the day. With news it was too tight!
Unfortunately it all happened 2.30am my time so was asleep.
Re-entry was on the cards even after stop was taken first time.

Thanks for showing your trades! It's great and I do take notes!

reading this reminded me a trade I took about a week ago on eu , same thing happened , big news candle pulled back then continued where
the news moved it initially. Third trade on the image on Oct. 30 th.
Same thing happened today on eu right after NFP today, news candle pulled back then continued down, wish I traded that instead ej,

Something If I may add, I often mention re-cross of the TDI , it's not a TMS rule , but I am very fond of and give me extra confidence
in the trades I take. see image

Another example from PHx62's chart , I like to use.
Here you can see an upcross, then above MBL line TDI and PA started to consolidate failing to give another cross to the upside,
then crossed back down the yellow MBL line and then bounced giving confirmation on the down move.
This is just TDI observations, of course as always you trade PA along tdi for confirmation

Where to place your trade initial Stop Loss?

Using the NZDUSD H1 trade posted by member bigpip, here is my example using recent price action on H1.

Know where the recent price action support and resistance on your H1 chart. When Support get re-tested and turned to Resistance, (vice-versa resistance turned support), they are usually reliable to use them .

Learn to identify CONSOLIDATION (post#261) on you H1 chart then trade the CONTINUATION. H4 Master Candle is one method to use to see price consolidation. Inside Bars is another CSP method.
There are other methods to identify consolidation. But learn the common and easy to see ones on your charts.

After struggling to be profitable with EU on short timeframes (5m) I've turned to medium timeframes and TMS 4H in particular. I have been using TMS for a couple of months on a demo account. Here's a GBPUSD trade taken late Friday - I have had some demo success with this approach:
1. Weekly pivots provide good TP targets, particularly with a R:R of 2:1 or 3:1
2. I've customised an indicator which provides distance from a MA on multiple TF (Search for Ibuk's Bread'nButter Dashboard). Here it provides the 5 MA on H4 and the next two TF (D1,W1).
3. I tend to focus on a set of 12 EURxxx and GBPxxx as they provide good volatility

I'd be particularly interested in answers from experienced TMS traders to the following questions:
a). For any previous scalpers - has moving from M5 to H4 worked for you or is it simply different?
b). What sensible monthly target account growth should I set as a target for myself (some experience but not consistent) - 1%, 5%, 10%, 20% etc.?

Of course mlfund, no problem, happy to help. It's fairly straightforward and easy to do. First though I have a suggestion. What I do, and what I know some other traders do is to open an account with another broker (just a demo account if you don't want to send them any money) then download Metatrader from them then you'll have the 'real' TDI on your charts. I now seem to do most of my chart watching and analysis on metatrader with IG charts open but minimised so if I want to place a trade I can do it through the metatrader broker account or just click on IG and place the trade there if I choose, it's just as quick either way. In fact now I think about it I believe IG now have Metatrader charts but you have to open a separate metatrader account with them to get it.

OK, TDI on IG charts. Open a chart and click to place the RSI indicator on it. This opens up an RSI settings box. First change the default period from 14 to 13. Make the RSI line width a bit thicker, the next thickness up will do. Change the colour of the line to green. On the left-most setting box click on Horizontal Line (30) 1 and change the value from 30 to 32. Do the same with horizontal Line (70) 2 and change it from 70 to 68. At the top of that box you'll a small box that says 'Add' with an arrow. click on the arrow and list of indicators come up that you can add to the indicator window. Click on Horizontal line and make the value 50. Next from the 'add arrow' choose 'moving average. Make the period 7 and make the line a bit thicker again. Change the colour to red, and the type of moving average is 'Simple'.

Next from the indicator box add 'Bollinger bands'. Once Bollingers are added to the RSI window the left-hand indicator box will list 'Bollinger top line, Bollinger middle line etc. Click on Bollinger middle line which then allows you to change settings. Make the middle line a bit thicker again and change the colour. The usual yellow on metatrader for the middle or MBL line doesn't show up well on IG's default white background so I made mine a muddy yellow/green, but any colour will do. Keep the top and bottom Bollinger band lines the default thickness but change the colour to blue. Finally change the default period of 20 to 34 as used by Dean Malone who devised the TDI. He has videos and written material/pdf to read about the TDI over at Compassfx. If the TDI is too narrow or you just want it bigger/clearer just make the indicator window a bit larger. Now you have the TDI on your chart it needs to be saved. Open the small box that allows you to exit the charts and click on the 'Template' tab. Choose 'save or delete' and save as TDI or whatever.
