EJ- still holding short with stops at Breakeven.

131.145 is Strong daily support so just above this is my target!!

My other JPY pairs are still moving up so will keep a close eye on it.

Hey everyone, i made this trade last night right before i went to bed. I was watching the one hour TF and noticed a BEEB, price breaking previous bars low and i noticed price had reached a previous resistance area, so i waited for the second red candle to form. Once the second candle formed, i checked the TDI for a cross and it did even across the MBL. looking at the higher TF it looked like it was a good trade, but possible a counter trend trade, so i watched the trade until price went far enough down so i could place my S/L at break even. I set my TP to an area of previous support. +34 Pips. Thoughts?

Normally the price should cross all of the blue lines to trigger an order, as you can see in some trades on the previous page. However there are also some trades where I undermined this criteria. That's because this week I've decided to concentrate more on the Starc bands, round numbers and previous H/L of past few candles. I also look on H1 to fine tune entries (especially during the London session) and maybe there, the price will show clear cross over blue MAs.

I couldn't tell you exact rules I use for entries right now, since I'm experimenting.

I did enter that same trade..that IS the Only trade so far for me.........

That's a very good trade, good place for TP.

I would've done the same thing last week, but this week I'm experimenting with Starc bands. My buy stop triggered when the blue candle crossed both pairs of MAs (my chart is a little bit different though). On the H4 it was a good short term move, I look at the daily and it showed some bullish signs too. So on the H1 I expected a move of double ATR and I put my TP accordingly. It missed my TP by less than 2 pips (above that wick). I closed it manually for +40. The TP was about 10 pips higher so no big deal at all.

Closed a few trades.

E/A short +45 (TP hit at previous major support)
E/NZ short +70 (TP hit a little between round number and previous major support)
NZ/U buy +20 (TP +35 missed buy 5 pips, exited manually)
A/U buy +40 (TP +50ish missed by 2 pips, exited manually)

That's around +500 pips from this night up to now (US open soon). Crazy...

I can see the logic in how you trade ... makes me think... why didn't I think of that before. Really Simple idea. ...... bet I was distracted looking at shoes and handbags....

This is my take on the GBPUSD, the transition phase and change of market type.

TDI exhibits HH's and has moved into a Bullish Range (>60) indicating an uptrend on H4 but D1 still bearish (<60) indicating a downard trend.
MBL has now switched to below the 40 level
PA Exhibits LH's

I used the 1H chart for the entry, but I have been burned before by trying to enter too early before the close of the 1H CS using the 15M chart.

So for that reason I have decided to wait until close of the 1H CS for a while, for my entries at least until I get better at MTF analysis.

Was it a valid entry? In the direction of the D trend?
