FX had a bit of an unwind day where we saw USD buying against many pairs – though flows were not impulsive. Equity flows were more interesting, where yesterday we saw half of last week’s cash equity buying unwound and today the S&P500 closes practically at a new high - with lower positioning. Michael Hartnett points out speculation is ominously picking up again, volatility across all asset classes seems to be crumbling and our Global Financial Stress Index has fallen to its lowest level since mid-May. However, as a barometer there has been 40 days in a row of equity based capital inflow to Korea with substantial intervention to stem the appreciation in the Korean Won. Higher short term rates in China continues to spur anti-USD flows. Tomorrow we expect a 25bp rate cut from Mexico. The USD still trades poorly despite decent trade data. Trade added 0.2pp to our GDP tracking model for the third quarter. We are now tracking 2.1% up from 1.9%.

EU SHORT, Divergence plus reached daily supply. TP 1.34923 - 23 FIBO
Also all volume on H4 today, couldn't push price through RWH, so what might happen is asia will start to push down then London and US continue. Oanda shows no orders above 1.382 so MM have no reason to drive price there due to no TRADERS, Stop losses has been taken today by many, that is why market was so nerviest.
