No you have to learn to spot support and resistances yourself. It not hard though. Though I would use normal candel sticks charts to check whats a support and resistance.

The guppeys are just a real good way to check trends and stop you following fake trends which was one of my problems.

Dear friends,

Pls find below my EURUSD H1 Trade today & Please advise me why am I lost?
My first trade was sell & enter when the beginning of LO candle(8.00GMT) because earlier Candle(7.00GMT) candle had a reversal signal and TDI Green cross over red & PA Brake Yesterday High.the trade run on my side 28 pips & rivers & close 1 pip above the open price.i didn't close the trade & wait till next candle, but next candle go LONG from the beginning & close as a blue candle then I closed my trade with a LOST(-26PIP).
In that time TDI Green cross above red & Yellow(MBL).So Again i enter Long trade.that trade also go on my side about 13 pip & closed 1 pip below the open price but APB candle color not change therefore I didn't close the trade.Next candle also move slowly & close as a blue candle then I thought that it will run on my side at least next candle.But it run on my side few pips & rivers,close as a red candle & in that time TDI show sell signal therefore I closed the trade.


Dear PH62,Emmanuel 7788,imi,Bizzzle,Snarljayck ....any friend pls reply.

Thank you very much for all your best wishes. feeling much better now.
Managed to study a lot about pure price action these last 2 weeks and I'm already putting some of that in action.

Firstly by way of introduction I am posting to this thread for the first time, but am plowing my way through the long history of it, but couldn't resist a peek at what is going on currently and am very pleasantly surprised to see peole sticking to the core strat offered more than 25,000 posts ago.

I am not unfamiliar with the style of trading championed initially by Ellfranz, I have followed a very similar thread by Loveevery1 called 'Another Simple System' for some time, but find myself getting whipsawed too often in the 15 min time frame tested in that thread. I am a long way from being a newbie and whilst I have got tantalisingly close to thinking I was getting some consistency on some occasions, also feel equally far from needing my "Pip wheelbarrow"

Looking at your trade today, your first sell, may have been in line with the original rules, but if you look closer, you shorted on a bullish pin bar in an uptrend. It's tenuous but if you blow your chart right up to the max, you could make an argument for taking the trade on the close of the previous candle, at least then giving you the option of bringing your S/L down a bit when you were 20 pips to the good.

As regards the buy trade, my broker barely has the red crossing green, but technically I can see that it could be seen as an entry. My take however is that you were taking a long against possible divergence, red and green TDI are falling whilst PA is making higher lows, whilst not really pushing onwards. This is also a highly contested area right at 1.38 which has been tested a couple of times since the push up on Tuesday and where today, the fight seems to have intensified, with some longish wicks. This is both a BRN and the highest we've seen since November 2011, so a pull back from 1.38 may well be what the market is anticipating?

I also think that perhaps your stop was a bit tight on the buy trade at 17 pips. On my platform the green has not properly crossed back down through the red, so if I were in that trade I'd have left my stop at beyond the 61 fib retracement down the earlier pin bar, the failure of that candle being my proof that the trade was going south.

Looking at it right now price is hugging the 10EMA and green and red moving together are hooking upwards, so there may be some legs in that long trade after all, but I don't think I would have taken it.

I hope my analysis is useful, but I bow to the more experienced trades in this thread if they disagree!

I'll keep on reading the rest of the thread and look forward to contributing some more in the future.

It is the question for which reason (goal) you took this short trade on eur/usd?

The candle before, we just get a new high. Then you sold. So was your expectation that this would be a reversal? That could have been, yes. But it only was a short one.

What stands against your short indication:
- H4 has green candles / there is a constantly good uptrend (see below)
- all guppys point up
- H4 TDI just on crossing up green over red
- H4 candles were green
- German PMI (9:30 GMT+2) only a little lower than expected (perhaps the reason for only two red candles)
- We are in a retracement from the new high.

So if I would have been taken this trade - I didnt - but if, my approach (said afterwards now, thats is easy, I know) would have been to scale out first half of position at the pivot point and set the stop on b/e. The second would then have been stopped out.

That was a more riskier trade because it is a sell against the uptrend.

For your the long trade - I had a similar problem yesterday. Had a long position in profit and had to get off the computer for some time. So set the stop too early on b/e (for security) and was stopped out, only because of a few pips too tight. Than the good move upwards startet yesterday evening. Thats life.

And now a divergence (PA and TDI) is setting up. Perhaps there is an upcomming chance to go short - but we are approaching London session end, so it could be only a sideways market - on less volume

That is my point of view - no advice to trade.

guys...I am just surprsed at so many indicators being added to TMS that its losing its flavour

TMS is meant to be simple....i dont get those Fibonaccis and others being added to the system.

hey man.. i think you should try to look at it from a different angle and learn from the people that are sharing their charts here.

If you like, pick a guru and follow their styles and methods

Their are lot's of traders here from Another Simple System, 15 tf.
I think Loveevery 1 was great. He is probably 100% retired now
and trading away. It's a great system actually. I traded his way for
awhile, but because of my time frame (where I live). I had to change to a
sytle that fit me better.

Anyway, welcome to tms.

Rille... I would have entered one candle earlier.
HA candles average a 3-8 candle run in most cases when it reverses... That's why I want to enter on candle 1 or 2 if I see a set up. A single candle on the 4hr nets you 30-60 pips or more generally. If it goes 3-4 candles you've already made 80-150 pips.

When using Japanese candles you see up down up down and your stressed to the max during your trade... It's more calming to trade HA candles.

The first thing I do is check all my charts. The weekly, daily, 4 hour & 1 hour.
I look for a good trending market. Then I start counting Synergy apb.

Had the chance to collect my first pips, with this nice TMS.
Entered short because of H1 in place and H4 in consolidation, but HA on H4 was still green and TDI not crossing yet.

Closed 3/4 of the position with profit. 1/4 is still in the market, stop on b/e. Therefore I'm looking at H4 candles, but it could be, that I will be stopped out on counter signal, while H1 is already long and on H4 a green candle is ongoing now.

Unfortunatedly I missed the counter signal on H1 and so I let this 1/4 open without risk.

A lot of people have used fibs on this thread for a long time as you know its just another form of s/r, some others have added the guppy or in plain language, a few more moving averages to tell the trend easier, other than that I can't see a whole lot of new indicators.
