copper,,, inventory down, and prices not rising? is one thing, iinventory down and prices dropping is a whole different story....
there is a db on price and we are near it on copper. especially with lowering inventory.. so why is cat falling? look at wallmart it has a valid tech signal to drop... so that is what cat sees..

Other than manufacturer I think CAT and Komatsu have mining contract division.

3715.4 is the mid to 3689.7 or a = distance above highs, 3818 or 3843. if we drop and make a new low today we should make 3715.. and the target at 3589 is valid.. in counter-trending, many times 3715 will be as low as it will go. we have a long term support at 3711 and a large resistance at 3799 and another at 3840,,,, i have 1.4148 as a target from months back. but before, most times we go to 3102 first. we reached an older target from 6 months back at 3739 this week.. most times after reaching these we retrace soon after. with that and 3102 as normal,, it seems like a good as any place to retrace near at. 414x mid (3799) or any time now. it will cost me 7 pips of house money to find out.

i dont know. i keep it simple.. cat stock up or down... copper up or down.. is cat forecast to grow or shrink. the same with wall mart selling china. this all affects china and in turn the commodity money. all the other stuff i dont need.

Not sure bout NZD trade balance, but may it be it is commodity exporting nation, so may be bearish on comm and bull on USD? Never examined it, would be glad for input.

Longer time-frame... volumes / ticket numbers as measured by a certain German bank show a marked drop off in the last couple of months. Volatility down, volume down etc, especially in Kiwi, Aussie and Euro all against the US$. (volume in EUR and crosses at a two year low and implied vols mirror a similar drop). I just post this as an interesting observation and note that volatility is cyclical in nature...and it will return...
