Yesterday was around 20 % of traders bullish on Eur/Usd (on Oanda's ratios data). That's a sign, that resistance will be easy to brake and it will be easy to kill all stops.
And News helped too.

hi guys,

here is how i see EU in the long term:

1. PA is about to complete a three drive pattern (the ones with red arrow), third drive should be around 1.3850

2. in the last two cycles, PA did top three times before moving down, in the current case 2 tops has been formed and the third is on the way (check the countings shown in the chart)

3. the area is expecting to act as a resistance is in confleunce with a TL drawn from the top formed on June 2008, however, the PA could very much not respect the three drives patterns and continue all the way to 1.39xx/1.4

i see the above is possible in 4 - 6 weeks time.

i did post another analysis weeks back talking about smilar targets as well

retail trader positioning is not going to affect FX trend that much. The two biggest trading counter-parties are commercials against hedge funds and prop desks.

someones already knew it last thursday in london session. also think about it that dow needed to crack 15400 to further go up. it stuck there for two days while spx kept going up.

why are people so bloody sceptical of banks? they're not out there to hurt us ffs, where did this notion come from?

Is it so weird to accept that a Bank could in fact have been wrong, not just trying to manipulate us?

yes,, and banks such as Goldman or whoever making their positions of being short or long is not indicative of their true main strategy. they can say they are one and be truthful. while at the same time be overweight on the other side. annalist and traders are separate. they can be opposite,, when a bank roles out the junior annalist recommendations. the guys with the wallet may be trading the other way.

many people think that big banks are mainly trading against others and move the market. Actually it is not the case. Big banks mainly act as brokers between commercials and hedge funds and prop desks, and big banks make money from commissions, and therefore big banks prefer a stable market. It is the commercials and hedge funds and prop desks that move the market. Overall hedge funds and prop desks make profit but commercials lose money.

They split orders into small pieces to hide their hands.........

EXACTLY!

Banks don't move the markets, they just facilitate trades for funds etc. I've had plenty of experience across FX dealing desks in banks to know this is the case.

I still don't understand why people think they manipulate the market or put false info out there

Whats with the hate for goldman?

Do you have proof that they bet against their recommendations?

I'm sure you're thinking of the famous Thomas Stolper who is pretty bad, but people forget his "trade of the century" where he recommended buying EURAUD at 1.25 earlier this year, targeting 1.50. That is a pretty good trade.
