GU Short Also

Would have been tempted for EU short also, but GU has the larger ADR of the two (116.2 vs 78.2).

PVSRA

The most important thing learned over past months with PVSRA is that a properly done PVSRA can determine if the MMs are bull or bears. However, bull MMs might be closing shorts, not yet opening longs. Bear MMs might be closing longs, not yet opening shorts. Furthermore, the Dragon and PA show the way, and until the PVSRA indications are consistent and coincide with the Dragon and PA, it is too early to trade the PVSRA indication without taking added risk.

I am long this pair. Here is what I see. So far today the low is higher than the Friday low and the high is higher than the Friday high,......a PA wave for a long is being created. Only time will tell, but meanwhile this does appear bullish. The Dragon itself could cycle down and then turn back up, at which time the Trend line too might be showing bullish, and there might be a Sonic R. long setup.....sometime tomorrow. If that fails to happen and the price gets whacked again, then imho the big players are clearly dragging out the process of building longs, which would be a very bullish indication indeed.

And the same goes for UCad.

This is true for others as well. Look at AUD for instance, just hanging there, not going down. While, I agree with you technically- the pair is relatively low and thus attractive for longs- but on the other hand, Dollar has been so weak. CHF goes how Euro goes and Euro being so strong- I think USDCHF goes much-lower from here (larger TF trend is down, lot of mistrust of politics in US, extremely negative dollar momentum)

There will be more attractive buying opportunities at .87 , .86 I think but this is just not ready to go up from this level IMHO.

Euro Strong, USD Weak?

I understand your logic is based on the premise the Euro is so strong. But, what if this "strength" is nothing more than the market continuing to prop it up while there is still excuse to do so,.....like the USD still being questioned? These things have lost all relationship to real individual values and real relative values. It has become a tug-of-war with politics involved and the market being the ultimate decider. Soon as the market decides it is time to start moving the Euro and the USD the other way for profits, that is what will happen. And suddenly, that Euro "strength" will dissipate and the USD "strength" will appear.

Who can know what the market will decide, or when.

And that might be the case. Its no secret every central bank has wanted their currency to be weaker than the rest.
I just said my case out loud, considering the momentum as it is now. Just my 2 cents, why is the darned thing not going up.

For the Quasimodo Fans....

There are a couple of USD high impacts coming tomorrow, so the market might coincide the start of some interesting PA with them. All it would take is for the market to suddenly initiate a liquidity creating whipsaw of prices down and back up again, and then drive the prices higher,.......something the market is more than capable of doing and frequently more than willing to do if it will make suitable profits, regardless of whatever the "news" is.

This is not to say that PA will exactly follow the lines drawn, but you get the point. What matters is if the big banks place more big buy orders down lower and if the market makers then attempt to get the price down once more to fill them.

The big bucks in the market can be wrong longer than everyone else. They can support prices with their orders and the market maker's cooperation out of greed to fill them. They can be patient, most patient.....to run everyone else out of patience. And when everyone else thinks a turn is coming, .......watch what happens!

Master Sonicdeejay has presented time and again the need for patience before trading, and high standards for what to trade. Lack of patience and a willingness to compromise standards is what leads to losses.

I am not criticizing, for I too very much need improvement in these two areas. We are always talking about setups, many of which embody compromise. We do this because we are anxious to be into a trade. I guess patience and pickiness should be as much a part of the considerations of a good setup as anything else.

In these times, and particularly with USD high impact releases coming tomorrow, it is natural the market is not going anywhere yet. And it might not even then. We have to have the patience to wait and see what the market shows us, and have enough control over our greed to then wait for a proper trade opportunity instead of anticipating one and jumping in prematurely.

UChf Long Trade Update:

Since last posting I have added long Scouts #3 (x2), #4 (x6) and #5 (x6) bringing this up to 5 trades comprised of 16 components long. Trades #3 and #4 were made Friday as the price dropped. Trade #6 was just made as the price moved down after the close of the LS on increased relative volume. The TP is adjusted in regard for the RWH mark. The SL is removed due to possible high volatility that could occur as a result of upcoming USD high impact releases that could result in the price temporarily achieving un-anticipatable lows.
